4. DESCRIPTION OF PARALLELOGRAM
A parallelogram is a quadrilateral in which
both pairs of opposite sides are parallel.
Special relationships are a reality between the
measures of consecutive angles, opposite
angles and opposite sides of a parallelogram.
The square is the most obvious parallelogram,
because it has 2 sets of parallel sides.

5. PROPERTIES OF PARALLELOGRAM
1. Diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other
2. Opposite sides of parallelogram are parallel (by definition) and so
will never intersect
3. The area of a parallelogram is twice the area of a triangle
created by one of its diagonals
