A 27-year-old male presented to the emergency department with vomiting, abdominal pain, altered mental status, and fatigue. He had recently been depressed and empty bottles of various drugs were found in his bedroom. He was diagnosed with suspected acetaminophen toxicity. Acetaminophen toxicity can cause liver damage and is a common cause of acute liver failure. Treatment for overdose involves administering activated charcoal and N-acetylcysteine to prevent liver injury if caught early.
