UNDERGROUND RIVER

the site and feel of the jagged tips and edges of a
full karst topography of Saint Paul Mountain Range
that framed the 8.2 kilometer (5.1 mi)
underground (cave) river. And, the fresh air, when
gasping for air in awe, from the thick green forest
that cradles life within and the surroundings of the
mountain range.
SMALL LAGOON
The Big and Small Lagoon’s tranquil turquoise-
green waters of its orchid-lined limestone walls,
showcase a kaleidoscope of marine life. Scientists
believe that these lagoons were actually caves
which abound in these islands. The roofs of these
caves must have collapsed millions of years ago,
and these lagoons have emerged in their stead.
NACPAN BEACH
Nacpan Beach is a 4-km strip of powdery paradise
north of El Nido town proper. The coconut lined
beach faces a small cove next to Base Bay.. A small,
palm crowned, grass-covered hill marks the spot
where the two ivory beaches meet. Small islands
dotting the bay can also be seen clearly from the
beach.

The islands of Palawan stretch between Mindoro in the
northeast and Borneo in the southwest. It lies between
the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea) and the Sulu
Sea. The province is named after its largest
island, Palawan Island (09°30′N 118°30′E), measuring
450 kilometres (280 mi) long, and 50 kilometres (31 mi)
wide.

Southeast Asian Airlines operates flights to /from Puerto
Princesa. Flying time is 1 hour from/ to Busuanga and 30
minutes from/ to El Nido.

22 hours from Manila and includes a stopover at Coron.
From/To Coron
Negros Navigation to Coron for Puerto Princesa every
Friday and back to Coron every saturday. Other solution is
Super ferry,leaves from Coron every saturday and back on
sunday.
Around Palawan
Getting around the island is easy, teven if some roads are
irregular, but a new road is now being built from Puerto
Princesa to El Nido. Also you can choose boats instead to
travel. When you are in El Nido, best way is by jeep
because roads are narrow for other larger transport. You
also can hired motorbikes and bicycles for other kind of
trips. There is a possibility of transfer/shuttle services
from Puerto Princesa to El Nido that takes 6 hours; from
Puerto Princesa to Taytay takes 4 hours. Roads are not so
accessible in the wet season, from june to september.
