In 1947 Iran was the first country to recognize 
Pakistan as the new state.
 PM Liaqat Ali Khan visited to Iran in 1949. 
 Iranian Shah visit to Pakistan in 1950 and treaty 
of friendship signed. 
 In 1964 RCD was signed. 
 In 1965 war, Iran helped Pakistan.
After Islamic Revolution (1979 to 1988) 
Zia's Islamization concept was mirrored in Iran in 
shape of Islamic revolution in 1979.

Pakistan was first one that recognized Ayatollah 
Khomeini’s Government. 
 In the same year PAK-Iran both condemned the 
Soviet union intervention in Afghanistan. 
From 1981 to 1984 visits of Foriegn Ministers from 
both countries, and most important visit of Ayatollah 
Khomenie in 1986.
After Islamic Revolution(1979 to 1988)

 In 1984 US Vice President visited Pakistan. 
 ECO (Economical cooperation Organizations ) in 1985 signed 
between two countries. 
 Iran-Pakistan joint Economic commission (JEC) was 
established in 1986. 
 During Iran-Iraq war, Pakistan played neutral but cultivated 
friendly relationship with Iran. 
PAK-Iran have common view point towards Kashmir.
