Social anxiety is a phobia, a long-term fear of socialization. Being social with people, and going out to even a shop can be frightening. I know from personal experience.
If you want to make a life, you have to try and enjoy talking to people and feel confident that you can.
It may seem hard to do so but if you follow the tips in this slideshow, you can also try to work on this phobia and be more confident.

can.
• It may seem hard to do so but if you follow the tips in this slideshow, you can also try to work on
this phobia and be more confident.
3. Social anxiety is more than people say it is, it’s a fear that
affects day-to-day activities. From school to relationships to
work and your confidence. You may have social anxiety if you:
• Worry about meeting people in a shop, in school, or at work. Talking on the phone.
Starting conversations.
• Eating with people.
• Fear of having a nervous or unconfident impression.
• Find it difficult to do things when others are watching like walking or eating…
• Avoiding eye contact.
• Having panic attacks, an overwhelming sense of fear, and anxiety.
4. Overcoming the phobia
• Some things can help you go through
your anxiety, a therapist is a great way for
dealing with this. but if you’re not ready
for a therapist then read the following
tips.
• Try some relaxation techniques.
Meditation, breathing exercises.
• A have another slideshow about how to
start with meditation, maybe that can
help you.
• It teaches you what meditation is, how
you do it, and the different types that
exist.
5. • Try to break it down into smaller parts.
• Maybe start to talk to your family more
• Dont hide away when there are guests at your
house
• Greating a random person on the street
I know it’s hard but it has to start somewhere, just
begin small and work your way up.
6. • Joining a group
• Search for group therapy, the people there have
the same issue as you and it will be a lot easier to
speak to them
• Going out with one friend and working your way up
to going out with a group of friends and later even
going to a restaurant or a bar.
7. Try to be more
confindent
• Most people focus only on themselves, it’s likely
that there not focussing on you. For example, if you
think about your conversation flaws and are scared
that other people notice, it’s not true they are
focussing on themselves. They often think the
same kind of things about themselves so they don’t
notice what you’re thinking.
• You can take pride and joy in what you say. Feeling
confident that you’re actually saying things to
another. Finally, realize that you’re brave enough to
talk.
8. • Now, how to maintain a conversation and keep it interesting.
• I still struggle with this. but I’m overcoming it by doing the things that I’ve written earlier.
• I know that there are specific ways to maintain a conversation and all these things to do in a conversation. But just remember to
be your bright self when you talk. Just be calm and do not force yourself into a conversation. Speak from the heart, be calm and
be yourself.
• try to make eye contact so the person that you’re talking to feels more involved.
• Talk about your interests or what you did this weekend. Having small talk can lead to bigger deeper conversations
• Listen to the person that is talking. If you listen more you can connect more and make comments and questions about the topic.
not ask too many questions it will make the person feel like it’s a one-sided conversation or an interview.
• Try to not feel nervous and force a conversation. Be calm and kind. That will leave a good and positive impression. Even if you’re
not naturally gifted you can practice it and be skilled.
