The students were asked by their teacher Mdm Yeo to make edible spiders for a school project before the holidays. One student's mother helped make a spider out of pandan bread, hot dogs, eggs and straw that the family enjoyed eating for breakfast. Other students described their edible spiders which used ingredients like bread, pepero sticks, herbal jelly and nuts to form the body and legs of the spiders. One student mentioned making their spider during lunch at McDonald's.

The last day before our school holidays, our teacher Mdm Yeo asked to
make an edible spider .The next morning, I told my parents that my form teacher, Mdm Yeo,
wanted us to make a spider out of food.My mother used pandan bread, hot dog, egg and
straw to make the spider. I shared the spider breakfast with my family. I had an enjoyable
day and I enjoyed making the spider. I want to make my own spider breakfast again.

Bread as head and body.
Pepero sticks as legs, M&M as eyes and mouth

Its body is made of "Guiling Gao" (herbal jelly), sour gummy for its legs
and wolf berry as its eyes.

Body is made of Swiss roll. The legs are made of peporo, the eyes are
made of nuts.
