My name is Sophie Athor of Sophiesworld journeys of the lost Soul. Diagnose with HIV VIRUS in
1989. I was yet to spend the following years experience the trauma that one can experience where
there is stigma and discrimination.
Wellbeing the art of caretaking of oneself. Respect live laugh cry like everybody else, without that
rule to all those who have got no voice. The pain of saluting to the darkeness of isolation that
causes loneliness, loneliness causes mental illness the only illness our immune can not fight.
Beeing shamed of who you are or what you have become is the greatest battle being fought
against oneself.
In 2012 I founded Sophie's World 0800 Is Not Acure, successfully promoted HIV/AIDS awareness
in schools. Community events, magarzines and took part in Pride Parade, Big Gay out and even
feature on national Tv One goodmorning telling my story. Telling my story to African
communities, the stories of survival and determination. Our origin and our struggles
2013 Word Aids Day I am taking my cause to the next level of awareness. Stomp the Stigma and
have a World AIDS DAY; OF NO SHAME.

A year on I am celebrating being an HIV+ positvely living Advocate, A member of the board of
trustees (Gender representative) A successful model for HIV awareness. A holistic approach to
compact the spread of the HIV virus increasing education awareness in all arears
HIV/AIDS taught me to learn and I have learn how to share the space I live in with all
communities. I have learn that I can not help another if I can not help myself. Above all not being
able to be shamed of who you are or what you have become is the greatest battle fought against
oneself.
