(All of these featuresutilize/require Inbound Refinery)Flash Video Conversion supported: Supports FlipFactory version 6.1, which enables conversion to the Flash video format (.flv). Include enhanced Flash support enables business users to easily edit and contribute content to Flash animation available on Web sites, or select Flash as an automatically generated video rendition; Additionally, users can now easily manage, search and review Flash videos by automatically creating storyboards for flash videos that users to scan and start right where they want to watchVideo to Audio Conversion supported: Inbound Refinery now supports conversion of video files to audio only.Microsoft Office 2007 Support: Inbound Refinery now supports Microsoft Office 2007 on win32 platforms, including saving an office document to HTML. Adobe Photoshop Scripting Support: Inbound Refinery now supports conversion using Adobe Photoshop scripting. This allows marketing departments to automate the creation of image renditions for multiple users.EXIF and XMP Data Now Extracted and Available to Inbound Refinery: Inbound Refinery now extracts EXIF data from digital photos and XMP data from native digital asset files and passes them to the refinery. This data is displayed on the rendition information page under the Image Data tab. To enable searching for content items using information in the EXIF or XMP data, Oracle Text Search is required. “New features empower business users to search on embedded image XMP & EXIF metadata, often added to PDFs, photography and to images using photo editing applications, as well as apply watermarks, color profiles and text overlays directly to managed images or even size and crop images on-demand”Dynamic Renditions: Inbound Refinery can now construct renditions dynamically, using metadata input when checking in a digital asset. For example, by using custom metadata fields in conjunction with custom rendition sets, text entered on the check in page can be overlaid as a watermark on a digital asset. Similarly, pixel height and width can be entered and used to create specific rendition sizes. When used in conjunction with the new EXIF or XMP data extraction capabilities, any extracted data can be used for watermarking, such as date/time stamps, camera or location data.Sources: Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Conversion 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e10800/c01_intro.htm#sthref10ORACLE ENTERPRISE CONTENT MANAGEMENT SUITE 11g | WHAT’S NEW (Pages 2 - 3)http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/content-management/ucm/oracle-ecm11g_new.pdf
• Next-generation desktop integrations: New Microsoft Office integration provides menus to access managed content, insert managed links, and compare managed documents usingstandard Office reviewing tools. Identity tagging of documents now occurs automatically upon download, to help users understand which versions they are viewing and prevent duplicate content items in the content repository. In addition, new “smart productivity folders” show users their workflow inbox, saved searches and checked out content directly from Windows Explorer. Desktop Integration Suite 11gR1 enables you to insert links to files, content of files, and images on an Oracle Content Server instance into supported Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Desktop Integration Suite 11gR1 no longer uses ODMA for Microsoft Office integration. Dedicated integration menus and ribbons are now used in the Microsoft Office applications to interact with content servers.Desktop Integration Suite 11gR1 provides integration with Windows Explorer in Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit only).Integration with Oracle Content Server provides the broadest content management capabilities directly in the supported desktop applications. You can search for files on the server (using queries or by browsing), open files from the server (check out), save files (check in), and perform a number of other advanced content management tasks (such as comparing Word files on the content server or inserting files from the server into Office documents).Other info:Desktop Integration Suite 11gR1 fully supports Oracle Content Server 11gR1. The client software can communicate with Oracle Content Server 11gR1, 10gR3, and 7.5.2 (with the DesktopIntegrationSuite component installed and enabled). Other Content Server versions are not supported.Sources: Oracle® Fusion Middleware User's Guide for Desktop Integration Suite 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e10624/c01_introduction.htm#BABHAEHFORACLE ENTERPRISE CONTENT MANAGEMENT SUITE 11g | WHAT’S NEW Page 2 :http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/content-management/ucm/oracle-ecm11g_new.pdf
