Integrated Approach to Test Geospatial Information Resources Based on INSPIRE...Martin Tuchyna
This document discusses an integrated approach to testing INSPIRE geospatial resources based on the INSPIRE reference validator API. It describes two motivating use cases for validating INSPIRE resources in Slovakia. A pilot prototype was developed that allows searching for and extracting INSPIRE metadata, executing validation tests in batches, and managing resulting reports and logs. Future directions include expanding test capabilities and integrating with additional registries, as well as enhancing reporting functionality and localization.

Presentation at the OpenAIRE-COAR Conference: "Open Access Movement to Reality: Putting the Pieces Together", Athens - May 21-22, 2014.
Open Access: The INRIA Experience by Gregory Grefenstette - INRIA Senior Researcher
The document provides an update on recent activities of the Independent Science and Partnership Council (ISPC) of the CGIAR. It summarizes that the ISPC has welcomed new council members and a new executive director. It also notes that the ISPC hosted a science forum in April 2016 and is currently conducting an independent program review of CRP full proposals, with feedback to be provided in June. The update lists some areas of improvement seen across CRP proposals, such as stronger theories of change, more non-CGIAR partners, and better integration of gender issues. It outlines next steps in the review and funding process over the coming months.
NEW OpenAIRE data providers: Some of the most recent from JULY to SEPTEMBER 2...OpenAIRE
1. The document lists 12 new OpenAIRE data providers that were added between July and September 2015, including institutional repositories, research output databases, thematic repositories, and journals.
2. It provides brief descriptions and metadata for each new data provider, such as the number of open access publications and projects identified.
3. The document encourages joining the growing OpenAIRE network, which now includes over 600 repositories.
The Town of Cary created a Task Force in 2012 to explore open data initiatives. In 2013, Cary participated in Open Data Day and launched its initial open data portal with 21 datasets. The following years saw the addition of more datasets, sample data visualizations, and a partnership with Cary Brigade to develop an open data app. Cary's open data efforts now include over 60,000 wireless water meters that collect hourly water usage data, which the town uses to monitor system usage and leaks and provide alerts to customers.
The document discusses the objectives of Work Package 5 (WP5) of the ESCAPE project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 program. WP5 aims to (1) implement a flexible and expandable science analysis platform, (2) make the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) accessible for analysis, and (3) support users in running workflows on available computing infrastructure. The platform will integrate data discovery, software access, and customized processing across distributed resources for astronomy and particle physics communities.

BREEDING METHODS FOR DISEASE RESISTANCE.pptxRASHMI M G
Plant breeding for disease resistance is a strategy to reduce crop losses caused by disease. Plants have an innate immune system that allows them to recognize pathogens and provide resistance. However, breeding for long-lasting resistance often involves combining multiple resistance genes
hematic appreciation test is a psychological assessment tool used to measure an individual's appreciation and understanding of specific themes or topics. This test helps to evaluate an individual's ability to connect different ideas and concepts within a given theme, as well as their overall comprehension and interpretation skills. The results of the test can provide valuable insights into an individual's cognitive abilities, creativity, and critical thinking skills
Or: Beyond linear.
Abstract: Equivariant neural networks are neural networks that incorporate symmetries. The nonlinear activation functions in these networks result in interesting nonlinear equivariant maps between simple representations, and motivate the key player of this talk: piecewise linear representation theory.

ESR spectroscopy in liquid food and beverages.pptxPRIYANKA PATEL
With increasing population, people need to rely on packaged food stuffs. Packaging of food materials requires the preservation of food. There are various methods for the treatment of food to preserve them and irradiation treatment of food is one of them. It is the most common and the most harmless method for the food preservation as it does not alter the necessary micronutrients of food materials. Although irradiated food doesn’t cause any harm to the human health but still the quality assessment of food is required to provide consumers with necessary information about the food. ESR spectroscopy is the most sophisticated way to investigate the quality of the food and the free radicals induced during the processing of the food. ESR spin trapping technique is useful for the detection of highly unstable radicals in the food. The antioxidant capability of liquid food and beverages in mainly performed by spin trapping technique.
ANAMOLOUS SECONDARY GROWTH IN DICOT ROOTS.pptxRASHMI M G
Abnormal or anomalous secondary growth in plants. It defines secondary growth as an increase in plant girth due to vascular cambium or cork cambium. Anomalous secondary growth does not follow the normal pattern of a single vascular cambium producing xylem internally and phloem externally.

The binding of cosmological structures by massless topological defectsSérgio Sacani
Assuming spherical symmetry and weak field, it is shown that if one solves the Poisson equation or the Einstein field
equations sourced by a topological defect, i.e. a singularity of a very specific form, the result is a localized gravitational
field capable of driving flat rotation (i.e. Keplerian circular orbits at a constant speed for all radii) of test masses on a thin
spherical shell without any underlying mass. Moreover, a large-scale structure which exploits this solution by assembling
concentrically a number of such topological defects can establish a flat stellar or galactic rotation curve, and can also deflect
light in the same manner as an equipotential (isothermal) sphere. Thus, the need for dark matter or modified gravity theory is
mitigated, at least in part.
