Triangle Open Data Day: Town of Cary, NC
The Town of Cary created a Task Force in 2012 to explore open data initiatives. In 2013, Cary participated in Open Data Day and launched its initial open data portal with 21 datasets. The following years saw the addition of more datasets, sample data visualizations, and a partnership with Cary Brigade to develop an open data app. Cary's open data efforts now include over 60,000 wireless water meters that collect hourly water usage data, which the town uses to monitor system usage and leaks and provide alerts to customers.
ESCAPE Kick-off meeting - WP5 (Feb 2019)
The document discusses the objectives of Work Package 5 (WP5) of the ESCAPE project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 program. This document provides an overview of the Open Research Gateway for the ELIXIR-GR infrastructure. Researchers can deposit and link their work through the gateway to practice open science. Statistics, reporting, and APIs are also available to monitor impact and advance open research. The team behind the gateway is working to improve customization and user guidance to better support the ELIXIR-GR community.

Researchers can use OpenAIRE to publish open access works, deposit data, write data management plans, and link research outputs.
Open Research Gateway for the ELIXIR-GR Infrastructure (Part 1)
The Research Data Alliance (RDA) is an international organization focused on data sharing across disciplines. It has over 8,600 members from 137 countries working to reduce barriers to data sharing through developing infrastructure and community activities. RDA has numerous active interest groups and working groups focused on issues like specific scientific domains, data reference and sharing, community needs, data stewardship, and basic infrastructure. One recent focus is guidelines for data sharing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
6th Content Providers Community Call
1) A new version of the OpenAIRE Provide dashboard demo is available.
2) Several speakers shared use cases of the OpenAIRE Provide service, including from OpenstarTs, Serbian repositories, the University of Minho, and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
3) The agenda concluded with an invitation for comments and questions.

Abstract: Equivariant neural networks are neural networks that incorporate symmetries. The nonlinear activation functions in these networks result in interesting nonlinear equivariant maps between simple representations, and motivate the key player of this talk: piecewise linear representation theory.

With increasing population, people need to rely on packaged food stuffs. Packaging of food materials requires the preservation of food. There are various methods for the treatment of food to preserve them and irradiation treatment of food is one of them. It is the most common and the most harmless method for the food preservation as it does not alter the necessary micronutrients of food materials. Although irradiated food doesn’t cause any harm to the human health but still the quality assessment of food is required to provide consumers with necessary information about the food. ESR spectroscopy is the most sophisticated way to investigate the quality of the food and the free radicals induced during the processing of the food. ESR spin trapping technique is useful for the detection of highly unstable radicals in the food. The antioxidant capability of liquid food and beverages in mainly performed by spin trapping technique.

It is used to detect the micronuclei formation inside the cells of nearly every multicellular organism. It's formation takes place during chromosomal sepration at metaphase.
The binding of cosmological structures by massless topological defects
Assuming spherical symmetry and weak field, it is shown that if one solves the Poisson equation or the Einstein field
equations sourced by a topological defect, i.e. a singularity of a very specific form, the result is a localized gravitational
field capable of driving flat rotation (i.e. Keplerian circular orbits at a constant speed for all radii) of test masses on a thin
spherical shell without any underlying mass. Moreover, a large-scale structure which exploits this solution by assembling
concentrically a number of such topological defects can establish a flat stellar or galactic rotation curve, and can also deflect
light in the same manner as an equipotential (isothermal) sphere. Thus, the need for dark matter or modified gravity theory is
mitigated, at least in part.
