This letter is with regards to the performance of the Mil90 ROV crew from Oceaneering onboard the Deepsea
Stavanger.
We Odfjell Drilling, would like to highlight and commend the performance of Patrick Holm and his crew Steven
Gibb and Teddy Domont for their hard work that has been carried out during this trip, in particular during the
last week.
We had a recent situation with our BOP when we discovered a leak that was at a rate which would of have
required us to recover the stack to surface for repair.
As a result the Sub Sea and ROV team came together with a plan to repair the leaking fittings sub sea and the
crews were extremely proactive in helping to come up with a design of tooling that they knew they would be able
to work with in the confined space that was available to work safely to facilitate a repair.
Although the ROV was working in a difficult position with limited access to the leak, they were still able to
tighten the offending equipment. The crew worked tirelessly (and at times with extended shift patterns) to detect
and repair this leak.
This repair resulted in the BOP being able to stay Sub Sea and the rig able to continue with ongoing critical
path operations. This resulted in a significant saving for Odfjell Drilling of a minimum of a week's rig down
time.
The Professionalism, hard work and commitment really came through when required, saving Odfjell Drilling
time, money and considerable man hours.
Congratulations to a job well done, and credit to Oceaneering, its crew and equipment provided as a whole.
