The 10th release of OpenStack supports new use cases across many industries through expanded support of technologies. Key themes of the release include improved enterprise maturity, networking advances like NFV support, new data processing and container support through Docker integration, and continued focus on the user experience. Over 300 blueprints were completed and over 3,200 bugs were fixed for the 10th release. New features were added across Compute, Storage, Networking, and Shared Services like Identity. The next Kilo release is scheduled for April 2015 and will focus on integrating Bare Metal provisioning and setting the stage for new projects.
