This document describes an online exam system project built with PHP and MySQL. It discusses the modules of the system, including Admin and Student. 3. ABOUT PHP
 PHP is one of the most commonly used
server side scripting language.
 PHP stands for Hypertext PreProcessor.
 About 250 million websites have been
running currently on PHP.
 PHP is basically a backend scripting
language which is used to provide
dynamic operations to the code

4. ABOUT PHP
There are three most basic reasons for the
popularity of PHP among the users:
 PHP as the code syntax quite similar to
C. Therefore it is easy to implement.
 PHP is open source in nature and
licence is not needed to use it.
 PHP is very light weighted scripting
language. Therefore the execution is
very faster

5. ABOUT MYSQL
 MySQL is Relational DataBase
Management System.
 MySQL is ideal for both small and large
applications
 MySQL executes standard SQL
command.
 MySQL compiles on a number of
platforms i.e. supports cross platforms.
 MySQL is also open source in nature.

6. ABOUT MySQL
 MySQL is currently owned by Oracle
Corporation.
 It is a very common choice for ongoing
projects.

7. INTRODUCTION TO THE
PROJECT
 Online Exams System provides the
platform but does not directly participate in,
nor is it involved in any tests conducted.
 Online Exams System fulfills the
requirements of the institutes to conduct
the exams online
 site requires an institute to register before
posting the questions.

8. Modules
There are basically three modules in our
project. Those are:
 Admin
 STUDENT
The Sign Up facility for the admin and the
employees will be encountered by the
DataBase Administrator(DBA) which can
either be any designate person or the
admin itself.

 It meets the information requirements specified to a great extent.
 The system has been designed keeping in view the present and future
requirements in mind and made very flexible.
 The system has been divided in modules so that each module has a separate
entity making the modifications easy without affecting its design.
 There is always room for improvements in software, however efficient it may be.
 The software is developed using PHP . The goals that are achieved by the
software are Instant access.
 Efficient management of records.
 Simplification of the operations.
 Less processing time and getting required information.
 User friendly.
