IntroductionThis research project has been created to give insight into the popular communication technology of online-dating. The research project will discuss the attitudes/motivations of users, the benefits and disadvantages the technology has on society and will inform readers of the different aspects and workings of the service.  The project will not only be an informative collection of data but will allow readers to develop there own opinion on the technology and whether they would consider using it in the future.
History of Online DatingAlthough some ‘online dating’ services were already inexistence (mail order bride), it wasn’t until the early90’s that the online dating service we now know today,was created. By 1996 there were 16 online datingwebsites listed. Today there are sites for every city, every sexualOrientation, race, religion, hobby and relationshipdesire.
