• English in Action (EiA) project in Bangladesh uses mobile to
  teach English - anticipate that more than 25 million people
  will be involved by 2017
• “The New York times earlier this year published a list of ways
  schools could encourage the use of the cellphones in
  education.
• GSMA mobile industry body found that “Education is one of
  the three biggest priorities in life for the young people
  surveyed [in developing worlds], with 39% naming it as their
  key priority.” 63% of youths surveyed believed that they could
  learn through even a basic mobile device.
