At the beginning of Olympic games some one lights a tarch. The runners carry the Olympic flame to the country where are the games are taking place. “ The Olympic flame” burns through out the duration of the Olympic games. The Olympic flame is put out when the games come to close . Olympic Flame
The Role Of India in Olympics Dhyanchand was a well known Hockey player. He took part in 1928, 1932 and 1936 Olympic games. India won gold medals in all the Olympic matches in which he took part. He was awarded Padmabhushan by Indian government. Recently Abhinav bindra won a gold medal in 100 mts. Rifle shooting at Beijing 2008. It is the first individual gold medal for India. Vijender and Sushil won two bronze medals for India in Beijing Olympics. Dhyan chand
