Final Synthesis Essay
This paper demonstrates pollution that is widespread in the
environment and how the contamination severely affects the
health of humans and the environment which needs to wipe
out.The Coming Age of Ecological Medicine by Kenny Ausubel
and The economic injustice of plastic by Van Jones talk a little
about this topic. Ecological Medicine is a cluster of literature
from the world's foremost health thinkers, presenting how
humanoid health is inevitably reliant on the wellbeing of our
atmosphere. Meanwhile Ted Talk speak about the economic
injustice of plastics, as when the plastic is being thrown away,
it creates pollution in the environment. And that target to our
lower class and we claim that poor peoples are responsible for
all this mess. So basically, this is all about the injustice going
on in this world. While both Ausubel and jones raise their
points on the amount of pollution that has been widespread in
our environment. Both authors talk about cleaning such a mess
that has been created in the atmosphere.
Van Jones is discussing the terrible effects of plastic on the
planet and different species as he said that plastic harms
particularly poor individuals. He said poor individuals endure at
the purpose of creation as well as suffer at the meaning of
utilization (Jones). The issue is with being poor is they don't
have confident choices. Being poor, they like to purchase the
least expensive items. "The cheapest products are often the most
dangerous (02:39)." Upon disposal, poor individuals have borne
all the burden. Because they're spreading such a great deal of
dirty production, the environmental laws don't ensure the poor
individuals in Asia. Biomimicry is a significant equity thought,
which means regarding the wisdom of all species considered.
I am agreed with the statement of Van Jones as he said that just
being poor is not good. They have to face all types of burdens
as "Production of plastic that's giving poor people cancer," and
whatever went wrong, we think that poor people are responsible
for this. As he talks about using the plastic products and their
disposability, that all the mess has been created in the
environment is due to the poor people, which is a wrong
concept. The problem is with the environmental laws which
treated poorly as a terrible specie. We have to respect the
wisdom of all the species. Well, that concept of biomimicry,
regarding the wisdom of all species, collective with the idea of
democracy and community justice.
This article exhibits us about the upcoming era of vital
medication as it has begun through the widespread infection
through mosquitoes. This outbreak has brought about
environmental change and the annihilation of natural living
species. Numerous specialists accepted that the initial move
toward a more advantageous future lies in biological medication
(Ausubel). "Ecological medicine suggests first doing no harm to
the environment, then going further, creating a medical practice
that itself minimizes harm (para 20)." Its focal thought is that
industrial progress has made a fundamental mistake in going
about as though people were separated from, as opposed to a
piece of nature, human and ecological wellbeing are indivisible.
Improving social health is inseparably connected to reinstating
natural prosperity. Medication ought not to add to the diseases
of people or the planet. Clinical practices themselves ought not
to harm different species or the biological system.
I concur with the announcements this paper as the principal
objective of medication is to build up the conditions for
wellbeing and completeness, hence forestalling ailment, and the
other one is to fix. "The ecological medicine movement
proposes to green the practices of the health care industry and
help mainstream medicine become safer." The preparatory
standard fundamentally contends that science and industry
should thoroughly survey the effect of their exercises before
they force them upon general society and the earth. For quite a
long time, the logical and clinical networks have worked on the
rule that a specific measure of contamination and sickness is the
value we need to pay for current life. It is the hazard
worldview, and it expressed that it is society's burden to
demonstrate that innovations and modern procedures are
destructive.
Both Articles have a common point is to wipe out all the
contaminations from the environment and make the environment
safe for the inhabitants. For instance, a wide variety of
chemicals polluted our environment and severely affected its
health as oils and chemical tumbles, wastewater and plastic
wastes which have not only adverse effect on the environment
but also human wellbeing and their fitness.
Another significant point is that these wastewater discharges
and chemicals not only adversely affect our wellbeing but also
have a substantial effect on our tastes and odors. Hostile tastes
and odors, usually unsophisticated or stinking, can even exist
naturally from decomposing vegetation.
In conclusion, this whole essay is entirely based on the
contamination of the environment and populations and the
impacts of pollutions on the wellbeing of both humans and the
environment. This issue is important to discuss because it is
directly connected to the health of the individuals. As human
lives are so precious and we need to think on it to wipe out all
these contaminations.

Instructions for first draft of Synthesis Essay (850 words
minimum). You may use first person, but you must limit it. Try
to avoid phrases such as “I believe” “In my opinion” because
we already know it is your opinion and your believe, obviously!
You are the writer. As a rule do not use “I believe” or “in my
opinion” in any of your essays for any class.
Also, you have to be careful not to have a high similarity report
(less than 19%). When you summarize you must do so 100% in
your own words and use small quotes from the article to support
your own words. Finally, the works cited page is provided for
you at the end of this guide.
Intro must have:
· Hook that grabs the reader
· Author names and titles of ted talk and article
· A sentence main idea of ted talk
· A sentence main idea of article
· Thesis statement that makes your unique point about the
issues. For example While both Jones and Ausubel make good
points I they do not take into account the….complete it with
your argument.
Body paragraph 1:
· Summary of TED Talk
· This summary must be 90% in your own words
· You must use one short quote no longer than two lines long.
· In quoting, use the transcript and include the time at the end.
For example, “Plastic pollution is affecting women of” (10:33).
· It must be in third person. DO NOT USE I believe.
Transition to next paragraph
Body paragraph 2:
· Having summarized, now you need to analyze
· In analyzing you will need to talk about ideas that you think
were powerful, that make sense, that you agree with.
· You will need to quote the TED talk again to point to
examples where the speaker is making a great point
· You will need to explain why it is a great point and why you
agree
· You also need to read against the grain. This means that you
may want to critique it a little bit. Talk about areas that were
not convincing. Explain why.
· Or, if you do not disagree with any of his points, talk about
things that he could have mentioned but did not or things that
were not mentioned that you would have liked him to speak on.
Transition to next paragraph
Body Paragraph 3:
· Summary of “The Coming Age of Ecological Medicine”
· This summary must be 90% in your own words
· You must use one short quote no longer than two lines long.
· In quoting, use the article and include paragraph number. For
example, “Plastic pollution is affecting women of” (para 3).
· It must be in third person. DO NOT USE I believe.
Transition to next paragraph
Body Paragraph 4:
· Having summarized, now you need to analyze
· In analyzing you will need to talk about ideas that you think
were powerful, that make sense, that you agree with.

where the speaker is making a great point
· You will need to explain why it is a great point and why you
agree
· You also need to read against the grain. This means that you

· Or, if you do not disagree with any of his points, talk about
things that he could have mentioned but did not or things that
were not mentioned that you would have liked him to speak on.
Transition to next paragraph
Body paragraph 5:
· What do both articles have in common?
· What is your point of view?
· Support your argument
· Give examples
· Explain your examples
· Reaffirm your first major point
Transition to next paragraph
· What is your second major point about your own argument?
· Explain it
· Give examples
· Explain your examples
· Reaffirm your second major point
Conclusion:
· In different words, repeat the main message of your entire
essay
· Explain why the issues being discussed are important

  • 1. Olivas 4 Edwin Olivas Oscar Gonzales ENC 1101 22 April 2020 Final Synthesis Essay This paper demonstrates pollution that is widespread in the environment and how the contamination severely affects the health of humans and the environment which needs to wipe out.The Coming Age of Ecological Medicine by Kenny Ausubel and The economic injustice of plastic by Van Jones talk a little about this topic. Ecological Medicine is a cluster of literature from the world's foremost health thinkers, presenting how humanoid health is inevitably reliant on the wellbeing of our atmosphere. Meanwhile Ted Talk speak about the economic injustice of plastics, as when the plastic is being thrown away, it creates pollution in the environment. And that target to our lower class and we claim that poor peoples are responsible for all this mess. So basically, this is all about the injustice going on in this world. While both Ausubel and jones raise their points on the amount of pollution that has been widespread in our environment. Both authors talk about cleaning such a mess that has been created in the atmosphere. Van Jones is discussing the terrible effects of plastic on the planet and different species as he said that plastic harms particularly poor individuals. He said poor individuals endure at the purpose of creation as well as suffer at the meaning of utilization (Jones). The issue is with being poor is they don't have confident choices. Being poor, they like to purchase the least expensive items. "The cheapest products are often the most dangerous (02:39)." Upon disposal, poor individuals have borne all the burden. Because they're spreading such a great deal of dirty production, the environmental laws don't ensure the poor
  • 2. individuals in Asia. Biomimicry is a significant equity thought, which means regarding the wisdom of all species considered. I am agreed with the statement of Van Jones as he said that just being poor is not good. They have to face all types of burdens as "Production of plastic that's giving poor people cancer," and whatever went wrong, we think that poor people are responsible for this. As he talks about using the plastic products and their disposability, that all the mess has been created in the environment is due to the poor people, which is a wrong concept. The problem is with the environmental laws which treated poorly as a terrible specie. We have to respect the wisdom of all the species. Well, that concept of biomimicry, regarding the wisdom of all species, collective with the idea of democracy and community justice. This article exhibits us about the upcoming era of vital medication as it has begun through the widespread infection through mosquitoes. This outbreak has brought about environmental change and the annihilation of natural living species. Numerous specialists accepted that the initial move toward a more advantageous future lies in biological medication (Ausubel). "Ecological medicine suggests first doing no harm to the environment, then going further, creating a medical practice that itself minimizes harm (para 20)." Its focal thought is that industrial progress has made a fundamental mistake in going about as though people were separated from, as opposed to a piece of nature, human and ecological wellbeing are indivisible. Improving social health is inseparably connected to reinstating natural prosperity. Medication ought not to add to the diseases of people or the planet. Clinical practices themselves ought not to harm different species or the biological system. I concur with the announcements this paper as the principal objective of medication is to build up the conditions for wellbeing and completeness, hence forestalling ailment, and the other one is to fix. "The ecological medicine movement proposes to green the practices of the health care industry and help mainstream medicine become safer." The preparatory
  • 3. standard fundamentally contends that science and industry should thoroughly survey the effect of their exercises before they force them upon general society and the earth. For quite a long time, the logical and clinical networks have worked on the rule that a specific measure of contamination and sickness is the value we need to pay for current life. It is the hazard worldview, and it expressed that it is society's burden to demonstrate that innovations and modern procedures are destructive. Both Articles have a common point is to wipe out all the contaminations from the environment and make the environment safe for the inhabitants. For instance, a wide variety of chemicals polluted our environment and severely affected its health as oils and chemical tumbles, wastewater and plastic wastes which have not only adverse effect on the environment but also human wellbeing and their fitness. Another significant point is that these wastewater discharges and chemicals not only adversely affect our wellbeing but also have a substantial effect on our tastes and odors. Hostile tastes and odors, usually unsophisticated or stinking, can even exist naturally from decomposing vegetation. In conclusion, this whole essay is entirely based on the contamination of the environment and populations and the impacts of pollutions on the wellbeing of both humans and the environment. This issue is important to discuss because it is directly connected to the health of the individuals. As human lives are so precious and we need to think on it to wipe out all these contaminations.
