On 1 January 2016, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development — adopted by world leaders in September 2015 at an historic UN Summit — officially came into force. These goals address every topic of concern we have discussed this semester. Over the coming decade, it's the hope of UN member nations (which includes the U.S.) that the SDGs will universally be applied to all, countries will mobilize efforts to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind. With the SDGs as your reference, answer these questions: Are any of the 17goals from the UN website particularly unrealistic—describe, in detail, why you think so (or not). Which of the 17 goals do you believe is the highest priority for the world and why? Cite specific examples from class content, discussions and assessments. .

Pathways for peace, inclusive approaches to peventing violent conflict.
Violent conflict is increasingly recognized as one of the big obstacles to reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Its dramatic resurgence over the last few years has caused immense human suffering and has enormous global impact. Violent conflicts have also become more complex and protracted, involving more non-state groups and regional and international actors. And they are increasingly linked to
global challenges such as climate change, natural disasters, cyber security and
transnational organized crime. It is projected that more than half of the people
living in poverty will be found in countries affected by high levels of violence by 2030.
This is utterly contrary to the promise contained in the 2030 Agenda to leave no
one behind.
As the human, social and financial costs and complexity of violent conflict and its global impact grow, we must ask ourselves: how can the global community more effectively prevent violent conflict?
At the United Nations, we believe that prevention means doing everything we can to help countries avert the outbreak of crises that take a high toll on humanity, undermining institutions and capacities to achieve peace and development. We mean rededicating ourselves to the United Nations Charter, the mandate of Agenda 2030, protecting and respecting human rights, and ensuring that our assistance goes to those who need it the most.
Prevention should permeate everything we do. It should cut across all pillars of the United Nations’ work, and unite us for more effective delivery. This study is a contribution to our internal reflection on the broader challenges of prevention.

The UN SDGs are a globally accepted reference framework for socio-economic issues including health and care, they set common goals for all countries for the year 2030 and they are provided with indicators and a system of monitoring to track progress.
We indicate the role health and care play within the SDGs and which fablabs have SDG profiles that show they are interested in this or want to contribute.
Based on current data on the state of “care” within various countries, we can see where the existing fablabs could have the most impact with regard to care. And which themes are preferable to tackle.

Young people, especially those who will become young adults during the 15-year time span covered by the SDGs have the inalienable right to be informed about this turning point in international development. With half of the world under the age of 30, it is crucial that this agenda puts young people at the forefront of change and development. These youngsters from around the world have already contributed to the post-2015 process in an unprecedented way, identifying and shaping the new development priorities – now they want to ensure they are seen as equal partners in their implementation and monitoring.

rights-based. It is an ambitious plan of action for countries, the UN system, and all other actors. The Agenda is the most comprehensive blueprint to date

These goals were established following the millennium summit, and they were eight in number. Who Framed Global Development?
As you read these words there is a group of people shaping how global humanity will think about the economy for the next few decades. No, there’s not a conspiracy theory unfolding here. What I am referring to is the United Nations process for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)—where a course is being set for the next fifteen years of intergovernmental coordination for our economic system. This process has been quietly unfolding in the background for several years and will come to completion this fall in New York City.
I am a language researcher who cares about the future of humanity. And I share concern about the risks associated with globalization that currently threaten our collective future—climate disruption, soil depletion, widespread inequality and poverty, regional conflict, rigged financial systems, and more—the very same risks that concern many of the people involved in the SDG process. My primary responsibility at TheRules.org is to study cultural patterns of understanding and unpack their significance. This includes the use of frame analysis where I closely scrutinize the words used to think and talk about important issues.
Frame analysis is the study of mental models for human understanding. The concepts we have in our minds are structured in ways that can be systematically explored to reveal implicit assumptions, logical inferences, value judgments, and moral sentiments. An example relevant to the SDG process is the diversity of mental representations for poverty.
Poverty can be conceptualized as a disease that spreads like an epidemic, a prison to be liberated from, the condition of being incomplete or broken, a magical number measured in some predefined way, and more. We might talk about poverty eradication (treat it like a disease) or as a war (battle with and defeat it). Each meaning brings its own basic assumptions, constraining what poverty is understood to be about and how to deal with it.
Importantly, these meanings can be incorrect, inadequate, and problematic yet still be widely used. Poverty can be treated as merely a part of the natural world, for instance, which conceals the history of poverty creation throughout the last few hundred years where it came into being as a core feature of economic development.
When I looked at the language used to talk about the SDGs I was struck by how much hidden meaning can be found there. The analysis that follows is based on written text for the proposed sustainable development goals. It reveals a great deal about the faulty assumptions that remain uncritically accepted in the process. These assumptions jeopardize the entire effort by leaving out many of the structural factors that create poverty and directly contribute to ecological devastation.
No credible use of the word sustainable would perform in this way. In the following pages I make the case that the SDG process is fundamentally compromised and carries within it the seeds of its own

I am currently studying International Relations in Mexico. Not a lot of people in Mexico can understand English very well so what I tried to do was to simplify the information regarding the sustainable development goals. My target audience for this document is students who have basic knowledge of the international system. I added some maps that include some important statistics regarding these goals so people can understand why the SDGs are important to achieve. I also added their background, what they are, how they could be achieved among other things . I tried to keep it as simple and understandable as posible without leaving important details.

The support group discussed here was created to address the unique needs of a vulnerable population receiving services at an outpatient interdisciplinary comprehensive care center. The center’s mission was to provide medical and psychosocial services to adult patients living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH). Both patients and providers at the center expressed a need for a group to address the needs of the center’s Latino population. At the time the group was created, 36% of the center’s population identified as Latino, and 25% of this cohort identified Spanish as their primary language. The purpose of the group was twofold: 1) to reduce the social isolation felt by Latino patients at the center and 2) to create a culturally sensitive environm.

There are three primary goals with digital forensics:
Collect electronically stored information in a sound, defensible manner,
Analyze the results of the collections, and
Present the findings either in formal legal proceedings or less formally to inform a client.
Electronic evidence can be short-lived and fragile. It needs to be collected in a defensible, methodological manner to preserve it accurately, and to withstand scrutiny in legal proceedings. (chain of custody)
Electronic evidence can be highly probative, both as it appears to users, and behind the scenes. There is a lot of information that a computer user never sees (e.g. metadata, logs, registry entries). This behind-the-scenes evidence may provide a wealth of information about who did what when and where. Forensic analysts are trained to preserve, collect and interpret this kind of evidence.
Some digital files can be recovered, even if a user has tried to delete them.
Locate a famous case where digital forensics played a role, and share it with the class. Discuss how digital forensics was critical in cracking the case. Examples are listed below, but
