This document outlines a high availability BI architecture designed by Evgeny Budnik. It includes multiple OLTP servers storing transactional data, OLAP servers for analytics, and HV servers running hypervisor software. The OLTP servers each have 6 CPUs, 18GB memory, and storage partitions for the operating system, data, logs, and temporary files. The OLAP servers have more resources with 18 CPUs, 96GB memory, and larger data partitions. The HV servers have the most resources to run hypervisor software and support clustering of the OLAP servers for high availability.
