Ovation TV is launching a national dance competition called "One Dance. One Chance." that is open to all dance groups in the U.S. with members aged 13 and older. Groups can submit a 1-3 minute video of a performance to the competition website for a chance to win a $10,000 grant or scholarship plus national television exposure for their school or ensemble. Twenty-five semi-finalists will be chosen by dance teachers and four finalists plus a grand prize winner will be selected by professional dancers and choreographers. All finalists and a viewer's choice winner will receive $1,000 grants or scholarships.

Calling all dance groups, classes, ensembles, troupes and crews!
Ovation, television network devoted to arts culture, launches the One Dance. One Chance. Competition.
The contest is open to all groups in the U.S., with members age 13+.
Here’s how it works:
• The competition runs from August 15th - December 1, 2011.
• To enter, dance groups with at least three members should submit a 1-3 minute video of a recent
performance to ovationtv.com/dancecontest.
• The dance group’s teacher, professor, instructor and/or coach must upload the submission.
Limit one entry per group.
• All dance forms are acceptable, including but not limited to Modern, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Tap,
Ballroom, Latin, Contemporary and Folk.
• Submissions should be in .mp4, .wmv, .flv or .mov format and no larger than 100MB in size.
• All entries will be judged on creativity/originality, form, technical dance skills and group
choreography.
• A panel of accredited dance teachers will choose twenty-five (25) semi-finalists.
• The semi-finalists will then be judged by an independent panel of professional dancers and
choreographers, who will choose four (4) Finalists and the Grand Prize Winner.
• The semi-finalists will also be eligible for the Viewer’s Choice Award via online voting.
• The Finalists, Viewer’s Choice Winner and Grand Prize winner will be announced January 2012.
UNIQUE PRIZE PACKAGE
• Each finalist group, plus the Viewer’s Choice winner, will
receive a $1,000 Grant or scholarship for their school or
ensemble.
• The Grand Prize Winner will receive a $10,000 Grant
or Scholarship for their school or ensemble PLUS a
:30-second spot on Ovation.
