This document outlines the weekly activities and curriculum focused on studying trees for the week of October 7-11. Each day includes a large group activity, discussions, songs, read-alouds, and small group options related to trees. The small group activities involve sorting and classifying tree parts, measuring trees, and creating art about trees. Families are encouraged to take nature walks to observe trees in their neighborhood and share childhood tree experiences. Two special events are a field trip to Apple Hill and an intergenerational group meeting in the auditorium. The overall goals are to explore what is known about trees and questions students have about trees.
