This course provides a comprehensive examination of project finance techniques and case studies. Students will analyze 12 case studies in teams and individually that illustrate how project finance is used to fund infrastructure and other capital-intensive projects globally. Topics include the perspectives of lenders and investors, political and commercial risk mitigation, and the role of multilateral development banks and Islamic finance. Students will be evaluated based on a team case presentation, three individual written case analyses, and a final exam focusing on course concepts and readings.
