Athletic administrator Jeffrey Alger received his administrative certification in 2009 from the State
University College of Cortland, where he also obtained a BS in education in 1995. Jeffrey “Jeff”
Alger worked as an athletic director and administrator at both Waterloo Central School and North
Tonawanda City School District in North Tonawanda, NY. Currently living in Webster, NY, he is
involved in professional training and certification programs throughout the state, and is a member
of many relevant professional organizations, including the New York State Association for Health,
Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (NYS AHPERD).

NYS AHPERD strives to support active and healthy lifestyles for both students and community
members. It works to promote programs and activities in health and physical education, dance, and
recreation. Annual conferences and professional development and training opportunities are also
