 Alongside good nutrition, improving our client’s stress levels, sleep and digestive system all help towards
achieving the right results, and increasing your reputation as a trainer

Targeted Nutrition
 Hormones are compounds created by one cell
that travels to and stimulates another cell. In other
words, hormones control what the body can
achieve.
 Without the right type and amount of certain
hormones, the body for example can’t metabolize
body fat.
 Nutrition targeted correctly can help the body
produce the correct hormones for the results you
want
Why Exercise Doesn’t Always
Work
 The majority of personal trainers rely heavily on
exercise to achieve clients results
 Poor nutrition has been proven to reduce physical
performance by up to 80%
 If the wrong type and amount of nutrients are
consumed, the body is unable to physically perform at
its optimal level
 Certain energy systems require certain nutrient
combinations and consumption to operate efficiently
 The further away from optimal level, the more difficult
it is for the body to achieve the physical results you
desire
An Optimal State Of Health
 Even if you feed the body the right type and amount of nutrients, it doesn’t mean it is able to digest and
metabolize the nutrients it is fed
 If someone’s digestive system is inflamed and not functioning properly, they are then unable to provide the body
with the nutrition that will help them
 Before any effective nutrition plan can implemented, the body needs to detox itself and allow the digestive system
to become healthy
 Detoxing the body isn’t just effective for the digestive system, but also improves how other systems operate in the
body
 Properly functioning body systems put the body into an optimal state, leading to increased health, improved body
composition, and higher energy levels
Why People Don’t Do What They Need To Do
Everyone starts off with good intentions to do what is right, but most don’t maintain what they need to do to see the results
they want
The higher the compliance rate the more likely results will be reached and maintained
The reason people find it hard to maintain a high compliance rate can be due to a lack of support, access all the time to
healthy food, personality type, time management; to name just a few
Supplements help people maintain a higher compliance rate, and help fill the gaps that a non-perfect lifestyle can’t
Hormones & Supplements
 For clients to achieve results they must be able to produce the
correct balance between stress and growth hormones
 When the body is producing more stress than growth hormones,
the body is in a catabolic state, when it is reversed, the body is in
an anabolic state
 The correct nutritional intake, rest and physical exercise can place
the body in the correct state to elicit the change someone wants
 Supplements role is to make up for any shortfall in the above
strategies. The correct supplementation strategies can greatly help
the body get and stay in the correct hormonal balance
 As discussed earlier, if the body is producing the wrong hormones,
then the correct nutritional intake, rest and physical exercise won’t
be able to provide the benefits they bring

 Knowing what will hinder your clients achieving their goals,
allows you to create the correct strategies, so results are
achieved quicker
 Assessing nutrition, lifestyle, and attitude alongside physical
movement, will help a trainer identify the areas the client
needs help with
 If it has been assessed that a client has high stress levels,
poor digestion, unhealthy eating habits, low energy levels, a
plan to correct these issues is required before exercise can
make a difference
 Prescribing the correct supplementation plan can help
clients achieve quick benefits easily, increasing compliance
and the clients motivation

Introduction & Aim  Aim: To help personal trainers achieve the best results with their clients  Results = retained clients, referrals, sustainable business, guaranteed income  Providing trainers with the information and tools required, to get long lasting client results through becoming more informed on how nutrition and lifestyle works alongside exercise  As the saying goes “You can’t out train a poor diet”  Alongside good nutrition, improving our client’s stress levels, sleep and digestive system all help towards achieving the right results, and increasing your reputation as a trainer
  • 3. Nutritional Health & Targeted Nutrition What is good nutrition? 1. Good nutrition properly controls energy balance. 2. Good nutrition provides nutrient density. 3. Good nutrition achieves improved health, ideal body composition and high physical performance
  • 4. Nutritional Health & Targeted Nutrition Targeted Nutrition  Hormones are compounds created by one cell that travels to and stimulates another cell. In other words, hormones control what the body can achieve.  Without the right type and amount of certain hormones, the body for example can’t metabolize body fat.  Nutrition targeted correctly can help the body produce the correct hormones for the results you want

Why Exercise Doesn’t Always Work  The majority of personal trainers rely heavily on exercise to achieve clients results  Poor nutrition has been proven to reduce physical performance by up to 80%  If the wrong type and amount of nutrients are consumed, the body is unable to physically perform at its optimal level  Certain energy systems require certain nutrient combinations and consumption to operate efficiently  The further away from optimal level, the more difficult it is for the body to achieve the physical results you desire

An Optimal State Of Health  Even if you feed the body the right type and amount of nutrients, it doesn’t mean it is able to digest and metabolize the nutrients it is fed  If someone’s digestive system is inflamed and not functioning properly, they are then unable to provide the body with the nutrition that will help them  Before any effective nutrition plan can implemented, the body needs to detox itself and allow the digestive system to become healthy  Detoxing the body isn’t just effective for the digestive system, but also improves how other systems operate in the body  Properly functioning body systems put the body into an optimal state, leading to increased health, improved body composition, and higher energy levels

Why People Don’t Do What They Need To Do Everyone starts off with good intentions to do what is right, but most don’t maintain what they need to do to see the results they want The higher the compliance rate the more likely results will be reached and maintained The reason people find it hard to maintain a high compliance rate can be due to a lack of support, access all the time to healthy food, personality type, time management; to name just a few Supplements help people maintain a higher compliance rate, and help fill the gaps that a non-perfect lifestyle can’t

Hormones & Supplements  For clients to achieve results they must be able to produce the correct balance between stress and growth hormones  When the body is producing more stress than growth hormones, the body is in a catabolic state, when it is reversed, the body is in an anabolic state  The correct nutritional intake, rest and physical exercise can place the body in the correct state to elicit the change someone wants  Supplements role is to make up for any shortfall in the above strategies. The correct supplementation strategies can greatly help the body get and stay in the correct hormonal balance  As discussed earlier, if the body is producing the wrong hormones, then the correct nutritional intake, rest and physical exercise won’t be able to provide the benefits they bring

Determining The Correct Supplementation  Knowing what will hinder your clients achieving their goals, allows you to create the correct strategies, so results are achieved quicker  Assessing nutrition, lifestyle, and attitude alongside physical movement, will help a trainer identify the areas the client needs help with  If it has been assessed that a client has high stress levels, poor digestion, unhealthy eating habits, low energy levels, a plan to correct these issues is required before exercise can make a difference  Prescribing the correct supplementation plan can help clients achieve quick benefits easily, increasing compliance and the clients motivation
