GOD’S
PROVISIONS
INTRODUCTION
The word “provision” is defined by
the Advanced English Dictionary as
the: activity of supplying or
providing something. But this
definition cannot convey the
magnitude of God’s Provision.
When we speak of God’s provision,
we are not talking about an
“ample” or “sufficient” amount;
the biblical sense of the concept is
“over and above.”
However, caution should be
exercised when we say or sing,
whatever you “want”, God’s got it;
it depends upon what “you”
want. Oftentimes God’s
provision includes not giving us
everything we want. He is a
faithful, loving Father who
knows what’s best for us. He
has promised to provide for our
needs, that is, supplying those
things which are beneficial for
us and His purpose.
BIBLICAL TRUTHS ABOUT
GOD’S PROVISION
1. God’s provisions, more often than
not, will be different than what
we think or in the manner we
think.
2. God provides according to our
faith.
3. God’s purpose of His provision is
more for our spiritual needs; not
our physical wants.
4. God's provisions are unlimited,
but they are not unconditional.
