BIBLICAL
LEADERSHIP
MARCH’S THEME:
The Passion of
Leadership
pas·sion
/ˈpaSHən/
noun
1.strong and barely controllable emotion.
"a man of impetuous passion"
2.the suffering and death of Jesus.
"meditations on the Passion of Christ"
synonyms: crucifixion, suffering, agony, martyrdom
"the Passion of Christ”
Emotions can be powerful
motivators. A passion to see
his people free motivated
Moses to risk the wrath of
Pharaoh and to endure 40
years of wandering in the
wilderness. A passion for the
God of Israel motivated teenage
David to challenge and defeat a
nine foot tall giant.
On resurrection Sunday we
remember the passion that
motivated Jesus to lead the
way, enduring the cross,
despising the shame,
focused on the joy set
before Him:
Our Redemption.
Biblical leadership is not
about a passion for fame,
money, power, status or
affirmation.
Biblical leadership is about
a passion for God and for
His people.
What’s Your
PASSION?

Editor's Notes

  • #2 There have been thousands of books written about leadership. Many forums, conferences and seminars have been given concerning leadership. But the fact is that the Word of God is the superior source of leadership. The purpose of this year’s theme is to reinforce that truth.
