A graph database is a type of NoSQL database designed to handle large, complex datasets. It represents data using nodes and edges to model relationships between entities, and it considers both data and relationships equally important. Graph databases allow organizations to access, integrate, and analyze data from various sources to help with big data and social media analytics. They are based on graph theory in mathematics and use a topographical network structure to represent datasets through nodes, edges, and properties.
