4. Annual Yearly Progress (AYP)
• We don’t have any AYP information yet
• Since Illinois received a waiver from the Dept.
of Ed. this is to be the last year of AYP
100% of students were to be at or above
standards by 2015
• In future years, we will be measured by
growth metrics…
5. New Growth Targets
• Will be unique to each school
• Based upon reducing half of the percentage of students who are not
proficient by 2020
• Multiple Measure Index (MMI)
– Outcomes (graduation rates)
– Achievement in ELA and Math
– Progress over time (Growth)
– Context: school climate, course offerings and additional indicators (bilingual
students, vocational certification, etc.)
• Reportable subgroup size reduced from 45 to 30 students

“The use of todaysmeet resulted in the participation of 100%
of the students. So many students are too shy to share aloud,
but a discussion board gives them an opportunity to express
themselves without feeling as self-conscious.”
“The discussion board then served as a quick-reference. I
could quickly and easily see and address any misconceptions
and provide reinforcement of how accurate the students
were.”
Dana Rosenquist, 7th grade language arts teacher
