Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

clearly from its respective origination without
extended Ghunnah.

• Idghaam means: - “To mix” or to “put one
thing into another”.
• It is the mixing or entering of a Saakin letter
into a Mutaharrik letter following it, so that

Idghaam which are collected in the word ”يرملون“

• 1- Idghaam with
Ghunnah
• If the Noon Saakinah or
the Tanween is followed

• The Noon Saakinah and the Idgham letter have
to be in two different words.
• If the Noon Saakinah and the Idgham letter
come in one word it will be Idhar Mutlaq.
• This case can be found only in 4 words in
Quran .

25. Ikhfaa Haqiqi
• Ikhfaa maens: “To hide”, It is the pronunciation Of
Noon Saakinah In a way so that the sound is between
Idgham and Idhar.
• Letters of Ikhfaa’: Any letter other than the letters of
Idhar, Iqlab or Idgham letters.
• The way of pronunciation:- If any letter of Ikhfaa
follows the Noon Saakinah or Tanween, the Reader
should hide the Noon Saakinah. The reader is also
required to make complete Ghunnah.
26. NOTE:
• If the Noon Saakinah or the Tanween is
followed by one of the heavy letters ض ط ق ظ
,ص the Sound of Ghunnah should be heavy.

• If the Noon Saakinah or the Tanween is
followed by a light letter, the sound of Ghunnah
should be light.
