A new campaign called Nonprofit Career Month highlights career opportunities in the nonprofit sector in Minnesota. The campaign aims to dispel myths about nonprofit work and connect individuals to nonprofit careers. There is a growing need for professionals in the nonprofit sector, as organizations will need to recruit over 640,000 new executives in the coming decade. Nonprofit Career Month provides resources on its website like podcasts, career information, and profiles of Minnesota's nonprofit sector to promote nonprofit careers.
Over one-fifth of residents in Neshoba County, Miss., live in poverty, and they are working together to turn those numbers around. Residents were inspired to take action after over 100 residents organized to talk and work together to build a prosperous community.

2015 propelled the luxury industry forward when it comes to how they think about sustainability. The biggest shift, (and one of the most important ones to help accelerate changes from the top down), is the rise in demand from investment communities for sustainable business models. For years, investors have focused on a company’s financial performance and determined if purchasing stock was worth it based on if the company was profitable. Now, sustainable investing strategies are growing, as investors are realising that performance is intertwined in future social and environmental impact.
C-suites are starting to realise that in order to keep creating value, and accelerating growth they must invest in and improve how their company impacts society as a whole, and most importantly how they communicate that positive impact.
There is one group in particular that aligns with this concept more than any other. Millennials are almost three times as likely to look to work for a company because of its social and environmental practices(1).
And the demand from affluent millennials doesn’t stop at employment opportunities. 2015 saw millennials using their spending power more and more to vote for companies who positively impact society and the environment – in fact – they are twice as likely to buy from brands with strong management of environmental and social issues(2).
2015 was also the year governments and world leaders took action too. With the launch of the Sustainability Development Goals, COP 21, and the passing of the Modern Slavery Act, creating, maintaining and growing companies with a positive social and environmental impact will soon become a legal obligation.
All these changes have left luxury companies with no option but to improve as the potential for sales and stocks to plummet increases, and the hand of the law hangs over them.
With that in mind, we look forward to 2016 and the trends that will help luxury companies continue on their sustainability journey. New innovations, communication techniques and constant evaluations of how consumers view brands will allow companies to keep marching forward in the fight to stay at the top of their game in a world that demands socially and environmentally responsible brands more than ever before.

Markets are the head on complex transactions between products and consumers since the consumers are the ones who buy the products off the market. The consumers rely on those in charge of businesses to provide supplies that they cannot go out and get themselves without the market having it available. This increases the availability of products that can be sold thus making everything easily accessible to those who have the money to pay for it.
In japan when the sugarcane market crashed that left many sugarcane farmers in trouble with no good source of income that they can use to provide for themselves, this lead to an increase of those in poverty that required the Japanese government to step in and to set up relief efforts. They set up a trade system of brown sugar so in the long run they can provide for themselves and not have to rely on the government. The Japanese government established trade with the Philippines islands so that way they can establish a good connection with them, making the trade work for both sides so in the end both sides benefitted from the arrangement, not just one side.
Ethnic consumer guides are available to consumers to see how ethical a product that tey are buying is. It also informs the buyer about the company responsible for the product so they can decide if they are ethical or not. This allows the option of free choice to expand further since the people will now know if something is good or if it is bad, allowing them to make choices based on their preferences and what they might support.
There are plenty tools for encountering people that are explained in this reading that have to deal with the market. First one being are my needs and the needs of the other being met? Then it goes am I connected with others directly? Then it goes am I taking what I need? The next one is are there ways I can give back to help the others needs? and abroad, this Minnesota native has plenty of expertise to qualify for several private sector positions. But for herself and her career, the
nonprofit sector provides something more—the ability to make a difference in people’s lives. For her, it’s personal.
Flottemesch is one of many nonprofit professionals who shares her story during Nonprofit Career Month—a new campaign piloted in
October 2009 that highlights the diverse range of careers available in the nonprofit sector.
Driven by the collective contributions of the nonprofit community, the campaign dispels common myths about nonprofit work, provides
individuals with entry points to the sector, and allows current and aspiring nonprofit professionals to share expertise.
Nonprofit careers are more crucial to communities than ever before—to assist in the economic development of struggling communities,
to connect people to affordable health care options, to strengthen the capacity of people to prepare for and recover from natural disasters,
and to foster vibrant arts and educational opportunities.
