The minister denied the information which was broadcasted in
European Media about the using of Chemical weapons by
Syrian Arab Army in the war against the terrorism, clarifying
that Syria refuses using these weapons for ethical and political
reasons and Syria called United Nations to investigate in this
issue.

The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces said
in a statement on Wednesday that one of the helicopters of the
Syrian Arab Army on June 12, 2013, targeted a terrorist group
trying to escape to the Lebanese territories.
The helicopter targeted the terrorist group and injured some of
its members while the rest managed to flee into Arsal district
where they were targeted with gunfire from the helicopter, the
statement noted.
The Syrian Arab Army will continue fulfilling its duties to
protect the Syrian Arab Republic and preserve the security of its
citizens, and it is committed to respecting the sovereignty of the
Lebanese Republic and its people's security, the General
Command stressed in the statement.

9. Health Ministry, Belarusian Company Sign Agreement to
Procure Cancer Medicine
The Syrian Health Ministry and Belarus pharmaceutical
company Belmedpreparaty on Sunday signed an agreement
protocol for importing cancer medicine to Syria valued at USD
100,000 for each type of medicine.
The protocol was signed by Assistant Health Minister Dr.
UsamaSammaq and the director of Belmedpreparaty during the
visit of a delegation from the Health Ministry to the Belarusian
capital of Misk.
Health Minister Dr. Saad al-Nayef said that this protocol is part
of the Ministry's efforts to boost Syrian-Belarusian cooperation
in the field of health, and that this cooperation will be boosted
further after stability is restored to Syria.
Al-Nayef called upon Syrian pharmaceutical manufactures to
expand partnerships with Belarus to create new markets for
Syrian pharmaceuticals.
In turn, Sammaq said that this protocol is part of the Ministry's
work to continue providing medicine for hospitals in Syria, and
that coordination with Belarus is ongoing to sign more
agreements and procure more types of medicine and medical
equipment.
