Many projects implicitly use some kind of risk-based approach for prioritizing testing activities. However, critical testing decisions should be based on a product risk assessment process using key business drivers as its foundation. For agile projects, this assessment should be both thorough and lightweight. PRISMA (PRoduct RISk MAnagement) is a highly practical method for performing systematic product risk assessments. Learn how to employ PRISMA techniques in agile projects using risk-poker. Carry out risk identification and analysis, see how to use the outcome to select the best test approach, and learn how to transform the result into an agile one page sprint test plan. Practical experiences are shared and results achieved employing product risk assessments. Learn how to optimize your test effort by including product risk assessment in your agile testing practices.
Making the leap from "gatekeeper" to strategic business partner often requires the QA/test group to centralize and standardize the selection of test tools, the development of test processes and templates and the training of testing staff. Only then can it break the organizational silos which typically hobble testing efforts, present a consistent and credible face to their business customers and develop the specialized expertise needed to meet today's testing challenges.

This involves increasing the use of techniques like unit testing, service layer testing, and test automation. It also recommends dissolving boundaries between traditional testing types and leveraging approaches like crowdsourced testing. The goal is to focus more on preventing defects rather than just finding them later in the process through more integrated and automated testing practices.
User Acceptance Testing in the Testing Center of ExcellenceTechWell
Centralization of testing services into a testing center of excellence (TCoE) for system testing is common in IT shops today. To make this transformation mature, the next logical step is to incorporate the user acceptance testing (UAT) function into the TCoE. This poses unique challenges for the TCoE and mandates the testing team develop a combination of business process knowledge coupled with technology and test process expertise. Deepika Mamnani shares her experiences in implementing a UAT TCoE and best practices—from inception to planning to execution. Learn techniques to create business-oriented testable requirements, strategies to size and structure the team, and the role of automation. Review testing metrics needed to measure the success of the UAT function. Hear a real-world transformation journey and the quantitative business benefits achieved by an organization incorporating UAT as a centralized function within the TCoE. Crowdsourced testing, also known as crowd testing, leverages a global community to accomplish business goals such as product testing. It has become relevant for testing due to the need to test large numbers of scenarios. Crowd testing can be utilized for web, mobile, and game applications. Organizations are exploring various options to integrate crowd testing into their overall testing strategy including using it as an add-on, for specialized testing scenarios, based on risk and priority, or fully integrating it. As the crowd testing market matures, players are expanding their services, forming partnerships, and differentiating their offerings.
Join Stacey Brown, President of MindLink Resources, for a webinar that will examine the top 10 qualities of a quality assurance (QA) tester. Learn how to bring out these traits in your current QA staff and how to watch for these soft skills when screening new candidates.
When localizing products, the QA step is essential in confirming the translation and making sure the product was successfully prepared for the target market. Managers trust the QA staff to catch translation and engineering errors and ensure product readiness to avoid quality issues caught by the end customer. Many managers make the mistake of assigning this critical role to a linguist who may not have the right characteristics of a good tester. When selecting QA staff, it is important to consider skills beyond just linguistic and technical. There are many “soft skills” to watch for in a candidate that will give localization managers the confidence that even small errors will be reported by their tester.
In this webinar, Stacey will discuss the top 10 qualities of a quality assurance (QA) tester, how to bring out these traits in current QA staff, and how to watch for these soft skills when screening new candidates.

Project Description
The applications under the scope of this projectare RXSY and APMCAS. RXSY is the main Pharmacy
System. This project is focused on enhancements like creation of new benefits with integrated
Pharmacy and Medical, installing the new Members and Groups in RXSY and APMCAS which will
provide Members to gain both Pharmacy and Medical Benefits under the same Plan.
In APMCAS there are twoseparate systems called APMHelpDeskand APMClaim. APMHelpDeskis
the online helpdesk that gives all the informations about the Member, Group, Client, Customer etc.
APMCAS receives the entire Drug informations fromthe RXSY system. APMClaim is used forthe
Claim Adjudication. Whenever a member goes to buy a drug from a pharmacy, he/she submits the
claim manually through the APMClaim. The APMCAS System adjudicates his/her claim online. Once
the claim is adjudicated, it is entered in the database of RXSY.A batch load is executed to extract all
the processed and unprocessed claims to the RXSY system. Then it calculates the amount to pay to
every providers and members (if there is any money to send to member also). The Volume Discount
System runs on a quarterly basis. An extraction job runs on this database every quarter and pulls
out those claims for whichthere are rebate contracts set up. Various inclusion/exclusion rules are
applied, along withthe business rules from the contractsand summary files are obtained which
form the input to the invoicing stage. In the invoicing stage, a set of jobs does the actual rebate
amount calculations, based on the manufacturer, contract, client, group, product indicator etc. RXSY
send the information about the Remittance to Aecclaims system or D&B accountpayable. APMCAS
is basically used to checkmember, provider, and group eligibility, quote plan benefits, view claim
details, confirm existing (account)authorization, and verify contractualinformation.
