NICE field team feedback
Commissioner
perspectives....negatives • Growing awareness but not complete
• Not sure how to use them
• Need tailoring for use quality standards as a CQUIN
• Comments on alignment to the provisional CCG
Outcomes Indicators Set
• Concerns that the volume of quality standards will
overwhelm the capacity of the health and social care
system to respond
• Perceived “burden” of data collection esp. for providers
• Need to know that a dialogue is in place with CQC,
OFSTED and NHSLA
Our commissioning panel said
• I'm using your excellent end of life care tool for a report
going out to the twenty CCGs supported by GEM
CSU….
• A really helpful document - we are about to look at
extending patient choice locally for IVF which this really
supports
• It’s easy to follow and convert into practice and I think
that the cost impact assumptions are reasonable. (ACS)
• I think it is clear and the SfC would hopefully support
discussion with LATs. (Sickle cell)
