Top Gear provides both accurate factual information at times, but is often inaccurate or exaggerated for entertainment purposes. The presenters also show clear bias, favoring certain cars over others. Much of the content expresses the hosts' subjective opinions and views rather than objective analysis. While opinionated, the show aims for some balance by outlining both strengths and weaknesses of vehicles compared.

2. Accuracy
• Top Gear is a documentary broadcast on BBC and and it started in 2002 ,
and has had over 18 series. Accuracy is how correct the program is
In the Top gear they are not always accurate in fact they’re very often
inaccurate. They often lie about different topics for example. A lot of the
stuff that happens on the show , for example James may pretends to have a
huge crash this means its not accurate because he would never survive a
crash of that destruction.
Top Gear often exaggerate for example they take extremely expensive cars
and do challenges with them this isn’t accurate as not everyone can afford
cars like that.

3. Accuracy
• Top gear can be accurate they give facts which are correct for example
they might say this car was voted most reliable car and there facts would
be correct.
• Top Gear is both accurate and in accurate which makes the program
more enjoyable to watch.

4. Bias
• Bias is when the program is in favor of one thing more than the other
• Top gear can be extremely bias for example if they are doing a challenge
with three cars there is always one car that they prefer to the others.
• The presenters always have a car that are bias towards if it the car they
chose to do the trial with.
• All the presenters argue about there cars always claiming there is better
which means they are being bias towards the car they chose they never
say “your is better” its always “mine is better”.

5. Opinion
• Opinion is someone's view but its not correct , its just what they think.
• There is a lot of opinion on Top Gear for example if they don’t like a car
they will claim its rubbish or that only people they don’t like should drive
them.
• A good example of opinion of Top Gear is the “cool wall” . Basically they
show a picture of a car and say whether they think its cool. This is all
opinion , quite often Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson think
differently Richard will find one car cool whereas Jeremy would think its
uncool. All of this is opinion they aren’t correct but there saying what
they think.

6. Objectivity
• objectivity is when they’re not favoring either side so it’s a balanced . It’s
the complete opposite to opinion.
• Sometimes Top Gear don’t take one side for example if they’re
comparing two cars and doing challenges for them they’ll see what are
the good and bad points of each one.
• They’ll also say stuff like if you’re looking for a reliable car then this is
the one where as if you’re looking for a fast car you should consider this
one although its more expensive.
• They try to show two completely different cars and say what the strong
points are.

7. Balance
• When it comes to balance for example if one of the
presenters is looking at a car if they have a balanced opinion
that means that they have things they like and don’t like
about the vehicle. For example they might say its nice and
fast but very expensive they are balancing out there
opinions.

8. Impartiality
• Impartiality is when you’re in the middle you’re not involved
in the opinions. For example if someone thinks a car is good
and someone disagrees if you were impartial you would
have no opinion.
