Nicolae Titulescu was a Romanian diplomat, lawyer, professor and politician born in 1882 who died in 1941. Despite the usual practice of not re-electing the president, Titulescu was re-elected in 1931 to continue serving as president of the League of Nations General Assembly due to his tireless work. He began his political career in 1912 when he was elected to Parliament and later served as Finance Minister. In 1918 he traveled to Paris as part of the Romanian delegation for the Peace Conference, then later served again briefly as Finance Minister before being appointed as Romania's Plenipotentiary Minister to London in 1922.
