I have completed full project life cycles including seven client launches and migrations. I worked closely with
our WMS provider using my past experience within an ecommerce site to aid in the design of new WMS
functionality identifying gaps and providing clear work definitions helped to ensure accurate delivery of project
requirements and to steer future development.
I found it beneficial to hold stakeholders meetings to garner their thoughts and define the appropriate work
approach. Learning a new WMS and becoming the SME greatly improved my understanding of how different
WMSs behave, which in turn provided me with a wider understanding of the advantages and limitations of
different WMS/Metpack configurations I have experienced. This, I believe is crucial when
developing/prioritising enhancements and change requests.

Additional Role Information: -
In additional to my additional duties I was involved 1st line support, running reports on JDA and ensuring
customers’ orders were interfaced from our middleware. I ran reports for operational management regarding
aged orders and move tasks in breach of SLA's. Problem solved any orders that had become an issue within
JDA and maintained records on Metapack and correcting consignments. I carried out new system
configurations which included the creation of new locations, pick faces, move tasks and pick sequences.
I worked as part of the team in partnership with JDA to deliver an auto packaging machine project, which in
turn gave me insight into how software development life cycle is structured. As part of the overall project the
team travelled to JDA in Bracknell to complete FAT.
The team and I identified numerous efficiencies that went through to be standard practice in the warehouse.
One example implemented was barcode picking. Allowing users to scan into their next task rather than
navigating the menu screens on the RDT improved units/hour by decreasing gun inactivity.
A second example was shortening the packing sequence by re-configuring screens and auto populating text
fields shortening the time it took to pack a parcel by fourteen seconds.
