Present
Portfolio overview:
American Express has a very wide, complex and smart architecture for servicing the corporate & consumer
credit card operations. Quality management services is a independent portfolio of AMEX to ensure all
corporate card’s technology services/platforms are rolled out to production with topnotch quality.
The portfolio have 2 QA directors, 6 QAMs, 75 Test managers and around 200 team members who will be
continuously engaged for QA activities for more than 150 projects at a time.
Role : Quality Assurance Manager
 In-charge for implementing DevOps from a QA perspective in more than 30 projects and manages
60 team members under five Application directors and two QA directors in the Global Corporate
Services platform of American Express.
 Apply tooling and process solutions to achieve advance agile capabilities in AMEX corporate card
servicing platform/products.
 Team member of Scaled Agile framework (SAFE) implementation in American Express GCPT
portfolio and organization.
 Responsible for the innovations and strategic planning in the QA and overall project management
process.
 Implemented successfully the continuous development and integration model in DevOps as a next
level of agile methodology enhancements in AMEX.
 Introduced the innovative approach of Descriptive automation approach to cater in-sprint test
automation in agile projects.

Project abstract:
American Express corporate cards servicing portal ‘@work’ is transformed into a next generation experience
by enhancing every card operations to be a real-time update from batch process, implementing RWD
compatible with various Devices and browsers, introducing Alerts and big data search option for card
members for various use cases . The project has technical dependency with more than 10 backend
systems/applications and the entire program is driven in Agile methodology.

Role : End to end Test Manager
 Responsible for the End to End test management of a complex agile project that has development
and testing impact over more than 10 interdependent systems/applications.
 Participated in scrum meetings to gather user story details from product owners to capture it as a
product backlog.
 Conducted story pointing meetings in scrum room to determine the complexity of each user stories.
 Played the role of scrum master for a work stream by conducting meetings for sprint planning, story
pointing, sprint retrospective and show and tell for product owners.
 Analyzed the scope for progressive test automation while release planning and sprint planning
meetings.
 Organized the meetings with impacted Development and testing teams to align on timelines and project
plan of the agile program.
 Introduced the shift-left approach of Developer-tester handshake by sharing the object properties to
implement the method of in-sprint test automation.
 Implemented the scrum of scrum method to split the scrum teams into smaller groups to increase the
efficiency and speed.
 Standardized some of the agile matrices by deriving it for the first time and is accepted across the QA
portfolios of AMEX.
 Created project templates for Descriptive test automation and project status reporting.
 Innovated the opportunities for utilizing the LISA virtualization for mitigating test data dependency,
service outages thereby improving the cost saves and time to market.
 Implemented the automated browser compatibility testing in the project using QTP 11.5
 Co-ordinated performance testing and published the performance test report to the project stake
holders.
 Published project status report to the project stakeholders, directors and VPs.
 Provided a significant cost saves by innovative strategies like test automation, shift left, service
virtualization and process improvements.
 Conducted the customer satisfaction surveys to continuously determine the areas of improvement

Organizational achievement
Suggested the idea to Tata Consultancy Services leadership, of setting up a near shore execution center
in Latin America to provide IT services to US customers at the same time zone, thereby to get an edge over the
competitors without many onshore associates to cater customer needs.
I interviewed, recruited, provided training and developed more than 22 member team in Mexico to be industry
ready to serve the customers.

A critical part of the American Express efficiency improvement strategy is to simplify and reduce the number of
A/R systems across multiple markets across the globe. Pegasus project was multiyear migration AR migration
project from various markets into one single AR system which is Globe-star. I handled E2E testing and
management of Global Online Program Management (GOPM) for the first market as Mexico.
Role : End to end Test manager
 Studied the business model to understand the existing systems and business requirements.
 Gathered project requirements and created the high level test conditions.
 Scheduled meetings with impacted systems and derived a test plan including all the dependent
systems/teams.
 Implemented database validation against the front-end using QTP.
 Identified the test automation opportunities for statements and PDF validation.

Pegasus project was multiyear migration AR migration project from various markets into one single AR system which is Globe-star. I handled E2E testing and management of Global Online Program Management (GOPM) for the first market as Mexico. Role : End to end Test manager  Studied the business model to understand the existing systems and business requirements.  Gathered project requirements and created the high level test conditions.  Scheduled meetings with impacted systems and derived a test plan including all the dependent systems/teams.  Implemented database validation against the front-end using QTP.  Identified the test automation opportunities for statements and PDF validation.  Assigned, mentored and tracked the work for the team members.  Published daily and weekly project status to the entire project stakeholders.  Keeping the test plan, strategy up-to-date and monitored on regular basis to ensure the project is on track.
