Arrhythmias may cause noticeable symptoms like chest fluttering, rapid or slow heart rate, chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, and fainting. Tachycardia is defined as a heart rate over 100 bpm for adults. Bradycardia is a slow heart rate under 60 bpm. Chest pain from arrhythmias can feel sharp, dull, burning or squeezing and may be caused by issues other than the heart. Abnormal heartbeats can cause shortness of breath by interfering with efficient blood flow and oxygen delivery to tissues. ECGs are used to diagnose arrhythmias based on wave patterns and intervals.

The document discusses consistency of random forests. It summarizes recent theoretical results showing that random forests are consistent estimators under certain conditions. Specifically, it is shown that random forests are consistent if the number of features sampled at each node (mtry) increases with sample size and the minimum node size decreases with sample size. The document also discusses how consistency holds even when the splitting criteria are randomized, as in random forests, as long as the base classifiers are consistent.
