The event is designed to allow staff and students from Newcastle University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to explore issues relating to assessment and feedback. It will present preliminary findings from research on student perspectives of assessment and feedback, as well as the Students' Union's experience from its feedback campaign. The session aims to maximize discussion among participants. Each academic unit is invited to send two staff members and three students to participate in group discussions and exercises addressing what is positive, negative, and interesting about assessment, and to identify actions to improve assessment practices.
