of India- Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot,
 More than 179 PEs (Peer Educators),
 A project team of 83 personnels,
 Promotion of Scientific researches thus
increasing safe sex and health seeking
behaviors,
 National Surveillance Site,
Ageing with Pride- LGBT
Seniors.
 The old age home for- LGBT Srs.- Prince
Manavendra Singh Gohil,
 Focus on Young age- Who disinherited from their
homes,
 Srs. LGBTs do not have access to Health
Insurance or Ration Card,

their sexual preference,
 Founded in 1999, under Karnataka Societies
Registration Act-1960,
 Operating in Bangalore in addition to Mysore,
also operates in Trichur, Calicut and Trivandrum
in Kerela and Krishnagiri in Tamilnadu,
 Bilingual organization- Kannada & English,
 Emphasize the concerns of sexuality minorities,
 Sexualities’ minorities rights with information and
education,

 Each zones having trained counselors,

THE HUMSAFAR TRUST
 HST was set up in 1994,
 Three men in a Chai-shop decided, they needed
a support system for Gay men and Men who like
other Men,
 Work involves- Sexuality, Gender, Health &
Human Rights,
 Huge family of 266 people working full time and
peers on 23 projects,
 In Dec. 1994, HST organized India’s first ever
conference of the Gay community,
 Advocacy,
 ‘Bombay Dost’- 1st registered LGBT magazine launched
in 1990
 Workshops on Fridays,
 ‘The Humsafar Way’- community mobilization &
Awareness building,
 Humsafar Centre & Health-related Projects,
 Counseling and Voice Mail Help Line,
 Care & Support Program,
 The Nutrition Program,
 Humsafar Parivar Credit Society.
