weather, traffic, crime, and health news.

What We Hear IT teams rely heavily on vendors, and often must conform to vendor solutions when building custom apps specific to news requirements, rather than being able to innovate independently. News must look to the future, and innovate at a time when the market is being disrupted on all sides, while still preserving and modernising its critical news operations. Broadcast news has been influenced and disrupted by digital trends, and that has impacted everything from creation and ingestion, to distribution, broadcast, and audience viewing habits. 1 2 3 4 3 Newsroom staff need agility, and ability to scale up and down as quickly as possible.

[P]eople make conscious choices about where they get their news and how they get it, using whatever technology is convenient at the moment.
