Washington Dulles International Airport and Reagan National Airport Spring 20...MarketPlaceDevelopment
MarketPlace Development, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), invited all local, regional, and national retailers, quick- service food operators, and restaurateurs to learn more about the opportunities that will be available for the thrid phase of leasing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) on March 26, 2014.
How Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport (FLL) will spend $650 m...David Santana
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport's older terminals would shed their 1980s look for a more modern design. The $650 million plans to add soaring ceilings to the old terminals and rebuild the international terminal, which has seen rapid growth led by discount carrier Spirit Airlines. Also FLL is in the middle of a $791 million expansion of its south runway and the bridges for the project will leave an open slot for in case commuter service is added to the Florida East Coast Railway.

What are the consequences of a spinal injury in the thoracic region of the spinal cord if the
damage is to the gray matter? What about a complete transection of the white matter in the
thoracic region? What body regions and functions that would be disrupted? Why is a white
matter injury in the upper cervical region worse than one lower down in the cord? How do white
matter injuries affect reflexes? How do gray matter injuries affect reflexes? F: Explain the
Solution
Grey matter is found in spinal cord which is known as the grey column. Grey matter Fuctions on
most of the brain\'s neuronal cell bodies. The grey matter works in muscle control, sensory
perception such as seeing and hearing, memory, emotions, speech, decision making, and self-
control. So we can say if Gray Matter damage then person can loose their hearing ability, speech
ability. Person will unable to control their Eomtions and can go Memory Loss, weakness, less
coordination, paralysis, tingling, loss of sensation, loss of bladder control.
Thoracic region structred follows which is in 12 parts. These all are indicate T1 through T12 (top
to bottom). T1 is the smallest and T12 is the largest thoracic vertebra. The thoracic region with
white matter control Chest, abdominal muscles.
If injury occur in Cervical (C1-C8) then Head neck, diaphragm and arm disrupted; if thoracic
region (T1-T12) injured then chest and abdominal mussle disrupted; if lumber region (L1-L5)
then hip and leg will be disrupted.
hite matter damage is called white matter (WMD) of the brain. White matter are the fibrous
tracts of the brain. Periventricular leukomalacia (PVL), which is addressed in this section of this
site, is a form of WMD adjacent to the ventricles of the brain, often due to fluctuations in blood
pressure or inflammation associated with prematurity. WMD can occur in other areas of the
brain for other reasons..

Since the birth of flight in 1903, air travel has emerged as a crucial means of transportation for people, products and animals. The hundred-plus years following the invention of the first aircraft have brought about a revolution in the way people travel. The airline business is a major industry, relied upon by millions not only for transportation but also as a way of making a living.
In early years, flying was considered a risk endeavor. In 1925, a development of an act “Air Mail Act” bring much revolution in airline industry by allowing the postmaster to contract with private airlines to deliver mail. Shortly thereafter, the Air Commerce Act gave the Secretary of Commerce power to establish airways, certify aircraft, license pilots, and issue and enforce air traffic regulations. The first commercial airlines included Pan American, Western Air Express and Ford Transport Service. Within 10 years, many modern-day airlines, had emerged as major players.

Parachute Industry Association Symposium
Our local parachute community welcomed the Parachute Industry
Association (PIA) Symposium March 25-29, 2013 with over 75+ exhibitors at the
Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. Approximately one third of all vendors were
from the DeLand Airport Business Park. The industry is flourishing and DeLand
continues to expand as a center of business activity for skydiving. We are proud
to have them all here and so well represented at the Symposium. A good
portion of the seminars were presented by locals such as Bill Booth of United
Parachute Technologies, John Leblanc of Performance Designs, Mike Johnston
of Skydive DeLand, Roger Allen of Alti-2, and Candie Procos of Vigil.
Team Volusia Economic Development
and the Volusia County Airports Group
attended the Symposium to promote the
Volusia County area. The event was very
successful and attendees made new friends
who we hope will make Volusia County their
new home. We are hoping to keep this
Symposium returning here for many more
years.
DeLand Naval Air Station Museum Expansion
A long-awaited expansion of the DeLand Naval Air Station (DNAS) Museum,
located at 910 Biscayne Blvd., is nearing completion. The 50’ X 60’ storage and
restoration facility will be used by DNAS
volunteers to work on historic aircraft and to
house World War II and other military
memorabilia. Contributors to this project
include Ron Herman of All Quality Products,
the City of DeLand, DeLand Municipal
Airport and the Museum.

Apron and Taxiway ‘A’ Rehabilitation
Funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the DeLand
Municipal Airport,
construction to rejuvenate
the apron and Taxiway A
surface is underway. The
project includes over
100,000 square yards of
application and should
extend the life of the area
approximately 8-10 years
longer. The product, called
Grip-Flex, is a thermoplastic
emulsion slurry seal with
aggregate that is resistant to UV fading and petroleum. This project is
scheduled for completion in late April.
FAA Releases Control Tower Closure Schedule
The FAA has released a three-part phased schedule for closing 149 of the
nation’s contract control towers. The shutdowns will start on April 7 when 24
Federal contract towers will close, followed by 46 on April 21, and the remaining
79 on May 5.
The FAA says it is closing the towers based on activity levels, with the first to
close having fewer than 1,000 commercial operations in fiscal year 2012, the
second group fewer than 2,500 commercial operations and the third group more
than that.
The FAA is being forced to cut $600 million from its budget under the so-called
sequestration. The Contract Tower Program is being hard hit with a 75 percent
cut. The FAA estimates that the tower closures will save about $32.8 million this
year.
