ECONOMIC UPDATES
 US-based engineering design firm AECOM is scaling up its India
presence and will hire 1,500 more employees to its existing staff strength
of 2,500, over the next five years.
 India is among the 89 countries which will participate in the three-day
Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC). Egypt plans to
promote at least 60 projects at the long-awaited economic gathering.

 MCA Services on www.mca.gov.in portal will not be available from 08:00
AM to 06:00 PM on Saturday, 14th March 2015 stakeholders to plan
accordingly.
 According to sources, Jet Airways faces Income-Tax department scrutiny
over TDS defaults. The airline has paid the TDS but mostly after the
scheduled payment date.
 CBI nabs govt officials and has registered a case of alleged sale of
confidential documents related to foreign investment policies which were
passed on to major corporate groups of the country.
 Indian companies are increasingly roping in specialists to manage their
whistle-blowing mechanisms at a time when employees don't hesitate to

RBI/TAX LAW UPDATES
 DGFT Notification No. 114 (RE-2013)/2009-2014 dated March 12th, 2015
specified only three documents each would be mandatory for exports and
imports of goods w.e.f. 1-4-2015.
 The income-tax department is doing reassessment of all retrospective tax
cases that are to be closed by March 31; more than 500 companies
underlying assets are in India.
