Parish Envelopes 2020
The Parish envelops have been sent out to the various Parish areas. Ifyou did
not receive your envelopes and wish to request a pack, please call into the
Sacristy after Mass.Ifyou have requested a pack, please collect same in the

Divine Mercy Novena
If you are free on Friday at 3pm why not join the Divine Mercy Novena in
our Church. Prayers and reflections offered in memory ofthe Divine
Mercy. All welcome.
Tobernalt Holy Well
As we gently move through the year the Holy Well Stations ofthe Cross
are a special way to prepare for Lent and the Easter Ceremonies coming
later in the year.

Parish Rosary

2. The Holy Rosary is celebrated every Sunday at approximately 9.10am and at
9.40 before Weekday Masses. Please make a special effort to join in this sacred
prayer in our Parish.
Silent Retreat
Silent retreat preached by Fr. Kilian Byrne in St. Mary’s, Knock on February
24th
to the 1st

Booking Masses
Please call into the Sacristy after Mass ifyou wish to book a Mass or
Masses for 2020. The Massis a very sacred way to remember your
deceased loved ones.
Bereaved
We remember in our prayers the soul ofPackie Ward, Carnamodda, whose
funeral took place on Monday. We extend our prayers and sympathy to Phil,
Mairead, Brian and Noel, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

St. Mary’s College
St. Mary’s College, Ballisodare are holding an Open Evening on Thursday
23rd
January 2020 from 7-9pm. Come and meet the students and teachers in
the school and have a look around at the facilities on the night.
Pastoral Letter
If you did not get a copy last week please note some copies ofBishop Kevin’s
Pastoral letter is available at the back and side door ofthe Church and at the
Bookstand. This letter focuses on a number ofrelated challenges: The need for
us to take seriously Jesus’commission to the Twelve to “go make disciples”
the mission ofthe family in nurturing Christian vocation, the connection
between discipleship and ordained ministry in the life ofour Diocese today
the need for us to re-imagine the shape ofpastoral ministry in our Diocese,
taking into account the number ofpriests, the population ofour parishes and
the declining financial resources
Carraroe Walking Group - The walking group meet each Monday at 10.50
am. For the next 6 weeks commencing Monday next 20th
Jan we will have an
exercise leader available to provide chair /hall exercise programme in the
Community Centre. Anyone interested in participating is welcome to come to
Community Centre at 10.50 am each Monday. There is a What’s App Text
system in place to update people interested on details each week.To join the

Community Centre
The Community Centre will be open fully after the Christmas break and
many groups will be restarting their classesand group gatherings.Ifyou
