EXT. CAFE. DAY
Establishing shot: There is a mid shot of a cafe in the
middle of a street. The cafe itself is between two bright
coloured buildings but itself is a plain brick building with
a white door.
NON DIEGETIC SOUND: There is an upbeat popular song on.
                                                     CUT TO:

INT. CAFE. DAY
Scene opens into a modern, minimalistic yet colourful cafe.
The walls are bright and the furniture is multicoloured and
mismatched. Its bright and the lighting is high key giving
an impression of life and youth.
Song carries on but now diegetically, playing through the
sound system inside the cafe.
Mid shot. ELLIE(17) and AMY (18) are sat on a table in the
middle of the cafe, surrounded by other people. Amy looks
sad and confused while Ellie looks comforting and
sympathetic contrasting with the scene. Ellie is touching
Amy’s arm with her right hand, whist holding a glass of coke
in the other. AMY is pretty and blonde and dressed in a
bright coat, ELLIE is brunette and wearing a scarf.

The camera zooms into a close up of AMY as she is telling
ELLIE what has happened, and then in turn, when ELLIE
replies, goes into a close up of her. The camera then
flickers between the three shots throughout the dialogue.
          The two girls then improvise
          conversation, AMY is talking about
a boy she likes that she thinks
          doesn’t like her back. The
          conversation starts off serious but
          gradually becomes funny and
          lighthearted.
As the girls finish talking and laughing, the camera shot
zooms out to a long shot involving the other people in the
cafe. The diegetic music from the sound system becomes non
diagetic and drowns out all of the other sounds in the
scene. This carries on for five seconds, and you can see the
girls laughing and joking.

EXT. PARK BENCH/SKATE PARK. DAY
Scene opens with a long shot three people sat around a park
bench, just outside of a skate park. There are people
skateboarding, people walking past and walking dogs and
little children running around. It is a cold day, and the
boys are wrapped up.
The shot cuts to a mid shot of the group, TOM (17) who is
wearing a fur hat with ear flaps, JAKE (15) who is wearing a
long black wool coat and a scarf and ADAM (17) in a T shirt,
a shirt, a jacket and a coat. They are laughing and making
immature comments about people who are walking past,
laughing even more.
As this is happening, a boy walks over from the skate park
and joins them. TAYLOR (18) is a good looking, popular boy
who is a bit more mature than the aforementioned.
The boys start talking, and they
are all laughing and joking. TOM
          mentions AMY and TAYLOR gets
offensive. JAKE and ADAM join in,
and things start getting heated and
          TAYLOR walks off.
The shot then flicks to a long shot, as we see TAYLOR
walking angrily out of their company, and as he gets out of
view of the shot, the camera pans and watches him leave the
park. The camera then zooms into a mid shot of the other
boys shocked faces and TOM awkwardly laughs.
SCENE ENDS.
