Clinical Social Worker/Cognitive Behavioral Therapist/Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
In my practice I provide individual, group, couple, and family behavioral, relational psychotherapy interventions with
children, adolescents, young adults, adults, seniors, families, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and individuals with
chronic illness, and addictions/recovery. I offer mind-bodyskills training and coaching for stress reduction. This
includes cognitive behavioral based stress reduction. As a behavioral health clinician, I utilize the DSM for functional
diagnostics and assessments, and I am a member of the provider panels for Aetna Behavioral Health, United Behavioral
Health, and Carebridge EAP, and Medicare. I provide consultation services—City of Philadelphia EAP where I
designed and implemented a Mindfulness-Based treatment program for addictions and recovery.
CANCER TREATMENT CENTERS OF AMERICA, Philadelphia, PA  September 2008 – May 2011
Clinical Social Worker/Mind-Body Psychotherapist/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Intake and psychological assessment of cancer patients and caregivers, psychotherapy and stress management for
individuals diagnosed with complex disease, provided individual and family supportive counseling for children, teens,
adults, and families attempting to cope with the realities of experiencing cancer in the family, psychoeducation,
presentations for patients, families, the cancer community, and staff. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, I
participated in grand rounds, consulted with oncologists, hospitalists, administration, and security. I was responsible for
servicing the outpatient clinic and the inpatient hospital. This involved discharge planning, grief /bereavement
counseling, designing a crisis prevention and suicidality protocol, designing and facilitating stress reduction
programing/relaxation groups for patients/families/stakeholders. I facilitated support groups/provided
psychoeducation for Mind-Body Skills training, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and laughter therapy for
relaxation/pain management/insomnia/anxiety/depression; along with stress management for clinical and
administrative staff. I contributed to articles in Cancer Fighters Thrive magazine and was featured as the Mind-Body
Medicine clinician in television commercials and marketing materials.
