The document provides an analysis of the language used in newspaper articles about riots in London in 2011. It finds that the articles consistently portray the young people involved in a negative light through the use of biased and emotive language. They are referred to as "thugs", "feral kids", and emphasis is placed on their hoodies and masks to imply criminal intent. No reasons for the riots are explored and the perspectives of the young people are not included. Binary oppositions are created between the young rioters and normal, law-abiding citizens. The analysis concludes that the newspaper coverage exaggerated the dangers of the riots and used powerful language to create a strong negative representation of the young people as wild, out of control, and rebelling
This document discusses several topics related to compensation and human resources management. It first discusses new trends in customer relationship management (CRM), including getting senior management buy-in, focusing on data quality, and identifying synergies across the organization. Next, it defines human capital as the stock of competencies and knowledge that allow people to perform labor and produce economic value. It then discusses factors like internal equity, external equity, and individual equity that organizations consider when establishing pay structures. Finally, it examines executive compensation, noting the dramatic rise in executive pay relative to average workers and differing views on whether this is beneficial or socially harmful.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs

RADICIGROUP PLASTICS AND SUSTAINABILITY
ECO-DESIGN is the main driver for the growing demand of reliable information on
environmental impact of products
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is the reference model chosen by Radici Group
Plastics to ensure that accountable, certified and specific data are provided to customers
In June 2014, Radici Novacips obtained the EPD Process Certification for its compounds,
RADILON® as the first one

RadiciGroup, through the Sweden-based International EPD®
System, has co-operated to define
internationally accepted PCRs (Product category Rules), an international reference for any company in
the industry that wants to measure the environmental impact of its products.
RadiciGroup was the first one to present and propose the concept of a production chain PCR.
RADICIGROUP PCR:
PCR CPC 8942 “NON METAL WASTE AND SCRAP RECOVERY (RECYCLING) SERVICES”
PCR CPC 347 “PLASTICS IN PRIMARY FORMS”
PCR CPC 355 “MAN MADE FIBRES - FILAMENT OR STAPLE”

Radici Group Plastics R&D takes into account the technical performance as well as the
environmental performance of our compounds already at the early stage of development
We can select the formulation with lower impact, and directly release its certified EPD
We can support our partners in the selection of the best solution with respect to:
Environmental impact;
Recyclability
Technical Performance
OUR CONTRIBUTION TO ECO-DESIGN WITH EPD

• EPDs for the complete range of PA compounds
available soon as Radici Novacips has applied for
EPD registration and certification for its HERAMID ®
compounds
• HERAMID ® grades can boast a significantly lower
environmental impact
