In SSC, mendatory to choose inter related subjects in that faculty/discipline while in FSC permits choosing any two
subjects from from that faculty/discipline.
Elective Subjects: Department or subject specific electives (DSEs) identified from the basket of respective
department. e.g. B.Sc. (Honor/Research)-Physics, DSEs chosen should be from a pool/basket of DSEs of Physics.
School specific Electives (SSEs) chosen from a pool/basket of credit courses from related disciplines. e.g. B.Sc.
(Honor/Research)-Life Science, the SSEs choose from pool/basket of courses of respective DES of major subjects (e.g.
Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Chemistry). In Faculty Specific Electives (FSEs) shall be from pool/basket of credit
courses of respective DSEs.
Minor Subjects: DSC students chose minor from faculty/discipline unrelated to the major. e.g. Students of Botany
may chose Horticulture/Crop Science. Students of SSC and FSC will have compulsorily choose a Minor from other
faculty/discipline
Awarding degree: For DSC, Students should secure 50% credits in that subject. Perform project in the same and
submit dessertation report. For SSC students, study specific number of SSCs and SSEs (DSC & DSEs for these three
subjects under SSC) in eight semesters so as to cover at least 50% of the total credits. In fourth year, he should earn
at least 25% credits from total in selected subject from three. For research, he submit project in selected subject.
Students can repeat fourth year for another Honor/research degree in next year. For DSC as core shall awarded
degree if secure at least 50% credit in FSC and 30% credits in DSC out of total credits of program. Studies specific
number of DSCs and DSEs in two subjects (I to VI semester) and DSCs and DSEs in one subject (VII to VIII semester).
Students can repeat fourth year for another Honor/research degree in next year. Student get awarded Minor degree
on successful completion of four multidisciplinary degree programme with minimum 160 credits; should earn 20-28
credits in that minor subject.
In SSC/DSC - Subject choose in fourth year become major while
remaining called auxiliary/supplementary subjects
