The Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines has been enhancing rural banks' microfinance capabilities since 1997 through the RBAP-MABS program, supported by USAID. As of September 2011, the program has assisted over 100 banks, facilitating significant growth in borrowers and loan disbursement across the Philippines. Future strategies focus on product innovation, geographic expansion, and partnerships to increase service reach and efficiency in the microfinance sector.
