Netball training covers basic positions, rules, and strategies. The 7 positions are goal shooter, goal attack, wing attack, center, wing defense, goal defense, and goal keeper. Players must throw the ball and can only hold it for 3 seconds. Contact and obstruction result in penalty passes for the other team. Good spacing and passing to the most open player are important strategies. The sample game plan lists players' positions for the first and second halves. Two center pass plays are described involving passes to the goal attack and wing attack.
