The document proposes a short horror film about a teenage boy who receives a mysterious text message asking him to meet in a forest. When he arrives, an unknown person chases and murders him. The film would have no backstory on the characters to build suspense. It aims to attract a 15-20 year old audience with its short, tense storyline. It would be filmed in forests using basic camera equipment and include jump scares and a supernatural creature killing the human character.

2. PROPOSAL
The premise of my story is that a teenage boy gets a text from an unknown number
telling him to meet him in a certain place. The teenage boy goes to the place which
turns out to be in a forest and he doesn’t expect the unknown person to turn up.
However, the person turns up and chases the teenage boy through the forest until he
finally catches the boy and murders him. No one knows why he has done it and no one
will ever no, it will remain a mystery.
There is one teenage boy, who no one knows anything about, but one day he gets a
message from a strange number. Everything about this teenage boy will be kept a
mystery, because this will create tension and suspense for the audience. There is also
another character which is the killer and is chasing the boy down. There must be a
reason why he is chasing him, however we don’t find out anything about anyone. All
we no about the creature is he has a quite unusual face.
My target audience is ranged from 15 – 20 year olds because it is quite a short and
catchy film, and if I can get there attention I will be able to widen my audience in the
next short film. I chose this audience group because this group is normally into horrors
and deaths in movies. My unique selling point for this short film will be that it is short
and has an incredible amount of tension and suspense.

3. PLOT
My short film is going to be a horror and is going to be set
in a forest because it will create a sense of horror. There
will be one person who will be getting chased through a
forest by a supernatural creature. There will be jump scares
and reliefs, however every good thing comes to an end
and at the end of the short film the creature finally kills the
human.

4. EQUIPMENT

Props – The prop I would need would be a knife so the
creature can finally kill the human

5. SETTING
It will be set in some sort of forest to create a sense of horror.
I would have the human and the creature running through
the trees. I wont need any permission for filming my short
video because it will be in forests and fields where no one
owns the land.
